But he has a manual box CADGUY lol - if he was changing the engine like he is then its all gotta come out anyway. all that would need to be done would be the linkages then.

I think £1500 would be the max i'd be looking to pay. One of the ones i just posted up had black leather which you could make so good cash on. £400 atleast - just think of all the cars they car fit - ANY MK3!! thats why people will pay good money for them.

VR6Pete's Golf Mk2 VR6 Conversion [Finished]
Paul1982 replied to VR6Pete's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
Mk1 Conversion!!!!!!!!!! ;-) -
Well VR Mofo - As sad as it is - I might have been wrong lol :-p - I'd still rather the black with black leather though ;-) lol
-
DVLA will always be cheaper!!
-
think you could sell the TT wheels on here for £300 and paint your smoothed bumpers etc and Mouve is meant to be the Rarest/Best colour car aswel. Plus it a Highline and will be worth more in the long run. Best thing you can do is offer him £1500 a few times buy different people and then he'll take £1600-£1700 from you as he'll be glad to get that bit more for it lol - i do it all the time and it really does work. Try!!
-
I was thinking about buying this and making a little more money :-) BUT!! I phoned an old friend who is in this business and he said these are crap and not worth anything. I think he was a bit p*ssed as he might lose money with competition lol but I still wanna know the truth about these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300103368170&rd=1&rd=1 He said that they often crash and course the ECU to shut down on some installs. This can cost £1k to fix hhhmmmmm anyway. He said lots of people are using them and
-
So what do you need to upload info into the ECU - Basically the lad i use all the time had one of these and it was connected to his laptop - and he would save what you had already (Just incase something went wrong) and upload the new software into the ECU (Remapping it). Half hour job that people pay £££'s for ;-) - I WANT 1 :-)
-
By the way it says 1996-2006 so email them and make sure it'll work for your car first!!
-
Sounds like a good system and a great price - i'd personally buy one in a second if it works on my 1995 Highline. If i am correct the 1995 model have the newer ODB2 socket in the dash even though it has a ODB1 system as it was the change over year. My mechanic has one (not this make) that has different leads for all car makes and he charges £15 just to plug it in lol
-
I sadly have never driven one but driven the R32 mk4 - the 4wd system does handle very well but then they are alot heavier. It all depends on what your after - An old classic or a newer less rare car which is just as nice. Power to weight ratio they are basically the same. So in my eyes it all comes down to Looks and what you'd prefer
-
The MK4 info will be very hard to find out i think
-
The Civic type r is only 200bhp and all that power is in high revs - The torque Levels aint that good with them - Plus they are a 2.0. Personally i've pi**ed on a few tyre R's chips and as they are friends they openly admit it. One of my other mates does have a 911 Turbo 996 model and f**k me that is serious - Now that is a supercar!! The mk5 r32 is a fast hatchback and thats it. Great car as we all love them - but £ for £ i'd be happier with a VR and this is why i still have my VR right now lol
-
Ba*tard Ba*tard Ba*tard lol - Before buying my VR i was readin though your whole project and thought to myself 'God if only that was for sale' lol so i bought my VR and spent £8k on her getting her mint. (That’s with the car cost) Just wish yours was up on offer before hand and i would have charged it and put it over 300bhp. Its just a dam shame that all that time money will be appreciated but some luck bugger who most likely will abuse her not knowing what really went into getting her where she is right now :'( I would have done you proud aswel - Well good luck with the R32 mate, personall
-
try 'German, French and Swidish' as i find them to be brilliant on cheap parts like that. They are a uk dealer and as VW's go they have never failed for me.
-
Well NiceVR6 - the engine is the same weight - spend over a bigger surface area, plus 50bhp more (300bhp) and because its a 3.6 the torque levels will be higher - this means it needs better brakes and suspension. Just think on the Topgear track the new R32 is 3 secs faster than the old one with only 10bhp and a better setup - so it should be alot better.
-
No matth its defo not for me sadly - It think 500bhp is drivable anymore would be to harsh - plus the S/C is progressive power thoughout the rev range where as big bhp turbo cars are 'bang' there you go power lol it feels faster than it really is.
-
Sorry NiveVR6 but there is no way on gods earth is the R32 Faster than half them cars - like top gear there r dry laps and wet ones and i'm 99,9% sure a 435bhp AM DB7 GT would pull an R32's pants down and rap him: http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/Aston_Martin/2003/DB7_GT/ The Audi S4 (Which one???) If they was going on the new cars then give over lol Now i watched this one onlt yesterday as the new r32 was up against the BMW 130I and it beat it. Both very dry laps!! Now the 911 Turbo was a 444bhp 996 that was tested and it was on a very very wet day. Now the 911 Turbos are animals and fook m
