    Does anyone know how much it costs to get a full 3dr retrim?? Thinking of getting a Highline mouve and putting Jaffa cake colour leather like Simmons's dragon green interior. Trying to put a budget together to make up the ideal mashine :-) Buy a standard 3dr highline (under 100k) seen one for £2500 - Charger kits for £1500 second hand - Remap £350 - £350 lowering kit - £1000 deep dish alloys - £500 full exhaust system and interior trimm??????

    http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/311798.htm She's is up for sale and once sold i'll be looking going on a UK hunt for a mint VR It has to be a highline (or highline spec) 3 door and under 100k - lowered with deep dish if possible :-)

    The standard manifold is slighty restricting the flow - the good 6 branch makes full use of the engine out put. You'll gain bhp in lower revs. The torque curve should be nice and smooth. I've used a few mani's and for the money the raceland one cant be beaten IMO

    You do lose a tiny but of mis range but nothing to worry about - I overcome this by fitting a 6 branch manifold which made the exhaust equal throughout and then it run like a dream. I found with the VR's - a full exhaust system and Kiera Nelson 10mm leads makes the car more efficent and you gain performance throughout the range. Best setup possible!!

    Yup Hi Flow CATS are what people put on there cars if they dont want to mess around with De-cat pipe etc Basically if the car is non-restrictive then the engine will work more efficent (save fuel). I had one because I had a great deal on one - but i'd stick a de-cat in before having another 1 ;-)

    Hi guys, Well most ofyou know i wanna come back - thinking about getting charged VR but also thinking about just putting a R32 lump into a VR and upgrading everything lol I have Posche 6 pot brakes and I'll get Koni Coilovers so thats the cars setup on whatever I deside. From what I can remember the VR6 Gearbox 5 speed fits near perfect to the R32 - just making sure this is the case?? If not does the R32 6 speed box fit in the same mounting points or does there have to be bigchanges?? I have had a look on here and did see loads on this a few years back but nothing since. Whatever help would be

    I do like the MK2 but the build quality of the mk3 is just brilliant and for every day use I'll take that over anything. I'll wait for after christmas and sell my RX7 as the mazda boys have already taken big interest in her. Then i'll be looking for a Charged VR 3dr on coilovers with some mint deep alloys (well ideally anyway) hehe

    Nope I hate the MK4 and MK5 sadly - think they are a big disapointment in the VW world :-( I drove a R32 and it didnt have the feel of my VR and its twice the price!! lol hate the body roll, hate the heldex 4wd system - wish it was a proper quattro.

    a face lift 2002 model - was chipped to 265 but it didnt feel that quick - nice lookin car but the golf was better made!! My m8 had an MTM S3 345BHP now that was quick - but my RX7 would have made it look slow lol Swings in round abouts i guess

    Hi all, Right I've had loads of VR's in my time and really missing my Old one. So after spending a fortune getting a RX7 and tuning it up no matter how much power i've got it doesnt compair to the love I have for my VR's. My Old VR was only around 200bhp but the sound was second to none - how i missed Chilling in Fifth as listening to my baby purr I now have an mint Black RX7 Type R1, Been rebuild and then tunned by Hayward Rotary to produce 360+bhp - thats 300-310 to the wheels. These cars are light and the power delivery is instant. Its got RX8 rims, red leather seats, all electrics, tinted

    Hi Guys, (NEED YOUR HELP) My mate has 18" RS4's on his Audi S3 (Genuine Audi) just kerbed one of then and he tyres are not the best. So he wants to buy some top alloys - BUT the question is where do we get them??????? We seen the BBS Lm's on a mk4 and thought they might look the bollox on his car. So need your help please guys!!     Yup the car sold in a matter of a few hours lol I guess i need to thank a few of you as it obviously worked. The phone didn't stop ringing. I sold it for £3250 to the first person who come to see it and he fell in love straight away :-)

    http://www.e-maps.co.uk/products/Volkswagen/Golf/ Use this company - my mate got him down to £200. His GT Tdi 150 on the RR was 203bhp and 315ft of torque (mental figures) all he had was an exhaust cold air feed and remapped. Still does 35-40mpg but if you give it some it does 25mpg. Just with the remap as you can see you can get as big increase - 115 to 140 130 to 155 150 to 180 Simon (the guy at emaps) is very modest with his figures as he always says worst case scenario

    Don't agree with stripping the car as the standaard VR looks nothing when next to this. Plus the tints aint that dark just enough to have to effect i'm was after.
