Good value coilovers.

I remember reading that write up a while ago. You did a nice job of it mate. Safe to say I think most of the setup your talking about requires a good knowledge and understanding of the computerised/digital side of things more so than the actual air suspension. Air suspension and levelling systems are quite straight forward as we know, it's the computer and control side of things where you've earned your stripes so hats off to you buddy. I'm sure we can make some of your write ups sticky for those that want to give it a go themselves. -
Welcome along mate, if you go on the full web version of our site you'll find a couple of vr6 buyers guides there which may worth a read. Best of luck.

Yeah they hydro dipped, I've got one in the car I'll go get it as soon as my pizzas out the oven lol. I'd go powder all day. There's a company local to me that specialize in powder coat so I'll see what they say.

Yeah I think red centers is the way to go. I'll split them in the front room when she's not looking and get some prices [emoji85]
-
Oh ok then I'll do that especially for you Benny [emoji106]

To put it simply, I have no idea [emoji16]

Do some research into using a solid flywheel Ben, itl be less than half the cost of a dual mass and ultimately can take more power if your going down that route
-
Not too sure on the condition of the centres now so I'm thinking of splitting them and going tornado red with gold bolts. Rekon it might go well with the candy white.

Doesn't it have the tilt handles anyway or is that just recaro leather?

Wonder if the chinks know what a group buy is....

It's not a case of being worth it, get it changed while the box is out, don't ever take a box out and not change a clutch UNLESS you know for a fact it was done recently. Downtime and labour costs if it goes in the near future far out way the cost of doing it in one hit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I run 205/40 all round on 7.5j, and I'll run 205 on 8 & 8.5j. I don't get enough ground clearance with 195/40 it leaves my rims too vulnerable
-
Please don't do this, I can see a serious clash of the titans coming on here, stick with black I say.

What are these 2 plugs disconnected from the engine bay?
Big J replied to Luke-VR6's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
See if you can trace them back mate and find out where they go too. Might help us to narrow it down a bit for you. -
Might be worth checking the recall history on it mate. I know there was a recall out there for dodgy coil packs fitted to r32s, and there was also a 6463 software update to deal with a flat spot

big brake suggestions?
Big J replied to el_chriso's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
I was going to go down the brembo route with mine but I've bottled it incase I get too limited on wheel choice. I'll be going 312mm in the end with the option of porsche boxster calipers as an upgrade if I fancy like it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Welcome along mate. Im sure you'll find plenty of info in here and there's plenty of inspiration for modding too. Don't be afraid to ask, but we do have one golden rule, get some pictures up!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Stick with it Ben, they all have niggles here and there but once ironed out they are great motors. I've had 2 mk4 r32s in the past and they were both faultless. Same goes for my old faithful mk3 VR, couple of niggles here and there but 99% of the time she doesn't let me down.

Your after something me thinks [emoji6]

People do say they handle a lot better on 16s but there's a lot of us that run 17 and find them perfectly fine. Myself included. I wouldn't go up to 18s tho as that does require arches rolling and it kills the handling because they're simply too big for the car
-
Yeah you can fit audi TT comp wheels, as many have before you. You need to put smaller tyres on them tho. They are usually fitted with either 215 or 225 I can't quite remember, but need 205/40r17. There other wheels from audi and vw alike that would fit in both 16 and 17" forms, so long as the stud pattern is 5x100
-
17x7.5j et 35 mate. Obviously 16" same width will fit. You can go wider and staggered but it's all offset dependant.

Start it up in neutral, just rest your foot on the clutch pedal and see if it's making a groaning noise then. If it is, itl be release bearing. Does the pedal feel ok with the engine stopped? Or does it feel sloppy and abnormal? If it feels ok then once again, release bearing. It won't be the clutch itself or you wouldn't of driven it home. More likely to be something related to clutch operation like bearing or fork.
