I managed to land an original VW dealership workshop manual on the bay for the AAA engine. Haven't had to use it yet thankfully.

My local VW dealership has their own body shop, and I've seen their warranty work on a mates bora that went rusty within 10 years, and to be fair the finish and overall job was brilliant. They don't charge silly money by any means, I got quoted by them 150 to paint a rear bumper. Always worth a thought trying the dealership for a quote was my point but I rambled.

Is try a replacement known good coilpack before swapping the ignition barrel. The key reader and transponder is all working properly I take it? -
As the title really folks, I've dropped in a few times lately but haven't had much chance to sniff through threads so here's hoping all is well! Better weathers nearly here now so there's no excuses for any of us, most of all me! [emoji106]

I used redline mtf94 in mine a few years back after recommendations. Can't complain, it's a good oil for smooth shifts.

As Pete said, I've actually had it in a mk3 a few years ago where the wiring had broken loose from the B-pillar to the rear door. Not a massive job to put right to be honest, if of course that's what your problem is.

I never rated the BMC to be honest, not much volume from it, well not when it's all coupled up with a cold air feed as it should be. Was the same when I had one on an r32, very little induction from it. Can't beat a good old fashioned ram air or piper cross foam cone (with a heat shield of course) [emoji106]

It's a pain in the chuff because you by 2x gallon of quantum synta from the stealers and only use a splash of the second one!
