Get on the google for mikalor clamps lads, used these for high pressure blowers on powder tankers in my last place, they will work a treat on stainless systems.
-
Come on cabbs, get the application in for the mods job, you can get me a place on the stand for ultimate dubs 2016, I might be ready by then!
-
White could work pretty well actually I like that idea, photoshop is a must before making a decision though. I've got a set of gunmetal TT comps, set of 17" bbs rx and some marmite splits but they're allllll mine!! (They're going in the wardrobe till spring, whether she likes it or not)
-
Can I sell you some wheels dan??? Pretty please??? I have many, and the idea of putting a set in the bottom of the wardrobe hasn't prompted a very nice reaction so far....

Oi!! Don't be giving him hella quad ideas that ships sailed towards me!And yeah I did mean the club but come to think of it, wrexhams a lot worse! Nice looking car dan, I really need to find myself a standard white grill. I bought one a while back and it was damaged when it arrived. Don't worry about the rust we all have a bit hiding somewhere. I've got some around the fuel filler and where the drivers door seal meets the sill. All in good time tho [emoji6]

Oooo cabbs I love it when your angry, I'm gonna demand the mrs calls me a spammer, then I'll bloody well spam her when she's not looking! Welcome aboard dan, it's a lovely shit hole here [emoji5]️

Dan get some pictures up of that car, we need more white ones ere never mind all these bloody toplines or highlines or whatever fancy name these women give them!

Best thing you can use for clean is petrol. Neat petrol in a tray, brush it well in with a paint brush and wash it off. Jizer is not a problem at all and don't worry about getting it inside the bores it's water washable, and you'll be using plenty of fresh engine oil in the rebuild process anyway. I hope! Take it from an old school mechanic mate, I've jizzed on many an engine from small cars to mainly heavy diesel HGVs. The amount of 12 litre MAN engines I've built using old school methods and I've never had a problem. Get stuck in and reap the rewards when your done [emoji106] Also, wire whee

Someone has to buy these things for opinions to be formed in the first place mate. If your happy with the specs and prices, I say go for it. At least you know it's a local company that can offer you face to face after sales back up should you need it

Story of my life mate!
-
Get a spare plug, pull a lead off, put spare plug into the lead and hold the thread of the plug against earth. Crank it over it should spark. If nothing there it could be an immobiliser issue. Also worth pulling the plug off number 1 injector, using a test light in the pins, it should show a pulse when the engine is cranking which means the injectors are getting the correct signal from ecu.
-
It would still start with a faulty coolant sensor. Make sure fuel pump is running with ignition and supplying fuel to the rail. If it's getting fuel pressure at the rail, move onto spark. Is it sparking etc. If you've read the codes and it's not showing cam or crank sensor issues then if be looking at either a fuel supply or spark issue.

Just curious really, anyone local ish to me or am I a loner over here??

That's gonna be the longest week of you life now you do realise that cabbs!

Loving those seats Richie, cars a real credit to you and to your determination!

Oooo in that case I'd get 9s on the back a piece of piss [emoji2]
-
Jesus fair play you've got a good woman there, my mrs isn't happy with 11!!
-
They seem to have gone on really well bealie, what's the specs on them again? Im debating buying a pair of lips to put these RH's out to 9j at the back. Seen as my rear arches are already rolled and trimmed it might be rude not too.....
-
Got a set of good 17" bbs rx 5x100 with nearly new p-zero tyres that I could be persuaded to part with. And a set of 17" tt comps. Not really what your looking for but I'm having a really slow day in work so forgive me for giving you a pointless reply.
-
Get them rears rolled up bealie, you won't regret it mate. Nice amount of stretch there. Cabbs, you can see from beals stretch, his rims are not near as vulnerable as what mine are but it looks the part, and he's got a nice amount of sidewall on the tyres to be safe. I'm gonna have this ball ache in the spring getting those RH's on mine!
-
From doing some quick mental maths, youl be laughing all the way with 205 on the rotas, final offset of et38 puts you 5mm further under the arch than the TT comps. If you've got anymore than 5mm spare between the inside of the comp and the suspension you won't have a problem. That said a 15mm spacer would put the rota in exactly the same position as what you've already got (et33). I say go for it. Rimstyle are pretty good they've included the 10mm spacer knowing it should be fine. Are you on coilovers? You'd get the front lower on the rotas than the comps I rekon.
-
Well I used to run 205 on mine but the 195 helped it to go down a bit further lol. I did drive better on 205 tho for sure, you could stick it in a bend harder than with 195s
-
That's a 195/45r17 on tt comps And this is why I have to be really careful with stretched tyres because my drive would kill a rim without even thinking about it
-
Cabbs youl be fine with 195 on those rotas, like I said, 195 on 8j can be done, like bealie has with his, but personally I wouldn't do it because the rim is so vulnerable. I've got a mate who had 9j x 19 toureg wheels on his mk5 jetta, running a 215 tyre. That is a similar stretch to bealie and it seriously was a stretch. Looked the part tho. In another note, there's no spacers in my tt comps, an the outer lip of the rim is just flush with the front arch. If I can I'll get a picture before I go to work
