whys every one bitching so much? yeah craggsy could of worded his first post better b4 it got edited! but in fairness it sounds like hes pissed off, i would be! going up to the first person with smoked fogs and punching them out with out prove isn't going to solve anything..without evidence its just one of those things! some people just don't respect others things, i expect the person who took them is a low life, who's just got 1.6gl and cant afford to buy his own.. well thats my say anyway.. -

if its on the left then no. the auxiliary belt is on the left could be something to do with that, or it could be ur tappets on that side?

if it is the chains it is quite a costly job because its a gearbox out job!

hi, the timing chain is to the right side of the engine when standing at front, chains are between block and gearbox. if its coming from left it could be water pump, tensioner pulley etc check for play on both, my pump went and it made a hell of a noise! hope this helps m8.

think it is obd1, can remember a thread saying about the breather pipes, because they are the same but cheaper from ford? sure it was a obd1 car? see if u can get a pic of engine and TB?

i squeezed £45 in mine once, heart broken it was gone in one nite 349 miles and i had to stop on the way back to put another £20 in so i could get home? im sure ive done 300 miles on a tank.. all i do is put petrol in it!! think my mpg is getting worse done 74 miles yesterday on £20, mind u i do drive it like a twat!!

bit high TBH m8, mines k plate with 2.9 TB, chip, filter, exhaust etc etc mine made 185.1 is urs obd1 coz sum obd2's can make 195+ with small mods?

ok kool ill try and sort it out then, i have notice loss of water and even water bubble out of header tank, looks like this could be my problem, also i have had about 3 hoses split on me aswell?

one of my water pipes split tonight, so i have replaced it with the one on my spare engine. i noticed that this engine has the electric auxiliary water pump fitted, mine hasnt i have the plug and the pipes have just been joined up? what does this pump do? and should i fit it on to my car? thanks peeps.........

my m8 has recently bought a R32, he reckons its 280 bhp? i went out in it and yes it goes rnd corners like its on rails and pulls and pulls down straights, but i don't think its 280 tho, he says its been remapped and got different exhaust? would def get one tho if i had 18 grand to spare!! very nice drive..
