is it because i didnt run the engine up to temp? also i put sum sealer around gasket so that should stop leak?

hey all, right today i tried fitting a aux water pump coz mine hasn't got one? the pipes were joined with a socket?? (don't ask) its been this way since i bought the car? the prob i have is firstly water was leaking out of the seal at the bottom of it, and secondly when does it work, has the engine got to get to a certain temperature? because it doesn't work when plugged into the loom? only works when i put a pos and neg to it off the battery..anyone got any ideas??

i did hear once that it depends on the yr of the car? maybe the rods are different?? when u fit them just make sure the handle fully releases and it should b ok..

i didnt bend mine when i first fitted them as they worked fine, BUT!! a few weeks later i went to open the door and it wouldnt!! it was a night mare, i had to remove door card with the door closed, and mess around with it for ages to open the door, think i ended up hitting the handle really hard to open it?? thats when someone said have u bent the rods, and i said i didnt have to......

just take the door card off, look up where the handle goes and u will see.. take sum pliers and bend the rod so the handle fully closes. easy..

didnt have to m8, got these inserts at work. all u do is drill the holes drop these threaded inserts in, and u use this tool to compress them up like a rivet. easy took half hr to do, dont have to jack car up or anything!!
