  1. Had a good look at your new setup Jake when I was at Storm on Tuesday, its certainly getting there! Yeah have to ditch the A/C on both the MK4s and 5s. After seeing the pulley and idler setup to get the charger as on the MK3 I can see why though!
  2. Thanks guys. Trying to keep up with the guys on the Corrado forum!
  3. A couple more of the engine in, again not as simple with the front mount as the block is very different from a 12v. Can someone please let me know how to get the pics to descend down the page as opposed to stretching the browser 3 feet!
  4. This is my latest engine conversion project. I was lucky enough a couple of months ago to get hold of a brand new R36 engine. After my last 2.9 Rotrex supercharged effort it was either an R32 or R36, so when this came up I would have been mad not to take the oppertunity! Thanks goes to Andy and Miles at Storm Developments for an excellent deal and very rare oppertunity. I have to say the 3.6 with its 24 valve and variable valve timing is in a diferent league to the old 12 valve engines. With 280-300hp out of the box it was the obvious choice. As some of you may know the 3.6 is an FSI engine wh
  5. Yeah they where offered as an option from new.
  6. Rotrex supercharger from Storm Developments.
  7. Little C clip has come off the selector tower mate.
  8. Nice mate. I might be selling my injectors at some point but they may be to big for your needs unless you are going to run big boost.
  9. G13 is VW stuff but you can use any pink/red coolant mate. Off topic, whats your spec? How is Chris getting on with the Rotrex?
  10. Just use G13 coolant and de-ionised water in the charge cooler. Unless you mean Rotrex traction fluid which you can get from GMC, TTS and Strom etc.
  11. It wasn't hard but the DDS3 gauge is only 25mm deep! I agree with whats been said about the gauge pod I was using. I couldnt see a bloody thing when I was trying to park etc. Sold it on and now have triple moved round and all blended to the A pillar. I will try and get some pics over the weekend. Alex
  12. Ive been with Adrian Flux for 10 years or so. Had a 4k claim at the beginning of the year. Standard car was £675! With all mods declared and 700hp limit it only went to a grand. I was paying £500 last year with 400hp limit. On the whole premiums and service has been really good. P.S. Brentacre couldn't even get close to beating Fluxs quotes for the last 2 years.
  13. Ive always used a standard Laser Tool jobbie costs about £6, works fine if you're careful!
  14. Jake sold his last week! No mate 02m is quite bit of work, relocate gearbox mount, custom shafts etc.
  15. No going to stick with my current front wheel drive setup. 4 wheel drive is to much work unless I can get myself a mint late 5dr Mulberry lhd syncro. Latest chassis is just a 5dr Mulberry Highline.
  16. Unless you are running 10/11 psi with a vortech or Rotrex I really wouldn't waste your time or money mate.
  17. If you are going turbo and want more than 400+hp dont use the 02a box. Spend your £1000 fitting an 02m 6 speed instead. I have exactly what Phat VR6 has stated and cost me over a grand to do with almost everything except some of the gears and both shafts being replaced. I will be selling this later in the year when I go 02m.
  18. If you are running standardish power go for a standard VW clutch if you want to go mad Spec and Helix are up there with the best. You keeping the gearbox standard but rebuilt? Or do you want a diff fitted and some gears swapping out?
  19. Ive got a spare one in good condition except for a smalldent in the bottom. £20 ONO. P.S. I live Brighton.
