  3. OE cooler is notorious for being a piece of crap! well worth investing in an oil cooler and sanwich plate and binning it off. I think they made it out o recycled chinese takeaway tubs!
  4. oak greens and the metallic blue that they did at the same time always look evil when tinkered with. I know a lad with an oak green one doing a 20vt conversion, much rather VR it though

  7. Thats what i thought, but ive heard some people have, then got thinking about a hybrid valve like forge splitter, its 90%recirc 10% atmos. Forge say it probably wouldnt work properly so I was thinking about trying it and if it didnt work just setting it to full recirc

    do you mean VOTEX? its official VW add on kit so wouldnt have been cheap, not of any value really though, might be a little persueder in someone buying the car tho as it is rare to see one with it

Put a wanted post on for the pulley, loads floating around, or try C2 motorsport If you get a 6psi pulley, itll be fine if you keep it below 4000rpm, i drove around for 600miles on standard map If an 8psi pulley do the same and youll need red top injectors fitted at the place you get it mapped and i would fit water injection aswel worth fitting a low temp thermostat and thermostatically controled oil cooler with a charger too and youll need uprated engine mounts

Im gonna order one to keep as a spare just incase as mines different again with a charger fitted and abit harder to get hold of quickly, so i want one in the garage ready Yep the oil wouldve got hot as the coolant pump was out of action when your belt went. Think I'd change the oil aswel now as some oils break down if they exceed its operating temps, cant hurt coz VRs love fresh oil anyway

  16. What CAT have people got fitted with a charger and where did you get them from? Was there a change in the exhaust note and performance at all Mine is getting eaten by the extra heat!! Ta very much
  17. 113mph in 3rd on stealths RR, most ive had was 145mph @ dakota strip, still had a fair bit to go but it felt loose as fook! Think a tasteful rear spoiler might help a bit

  19. Just had a llok at the one on my car and compared and the new one is OBD1! Just mailed the guy i bought it from on here to let him know he sent the wrong one, lucky as i was gonna start polishing in a minute
  20. ive even rang VW who said the number on the bottom is a manufacturers number not VW actually part number Anyone got a link to a pic of the underside of and obd2 mani?
  21. Ive searched everywhere but i cant find the post that has the numbers in it :S does anyone know if 021 133 223 A is OBD2 before i get polishing? EKTA is abit rubbish when looking for it cheers

  23. had mine mapped at stealth today so cool give it a good run. Stuck in traffic for 1hr it only got to 94 degrees, on a run GOOD i had a steady 82degrees
  24. mine oil warms up the about 60%quicker which is good, but the best bit i think is that when the oil is up at 94degress when giving it some, it isnt pushing up the coolant temp thru the exchanger as the 2 never come near each other anymore
