Chelsea tractor drivers! gutted for you mate, at least its only a bumper (which is bad enough!) did you use the line from "snatch" on him?..... "when you reverse things come from behind you tyrone,.... it was at a funny angle...., well its hardly a packet of peanuts is it?"

thats a lovely original car mate, nice one, is it gonna stay standard though?????????????????????? -
the kerb weight on a 5 door compared to a 3 door is minimal, dont forget a 3 door still has a rear 1/4 panel and interior trim and glass! a window motor and a couple of hinges dont weigh nufink man! and you cant make your nan sit in the back of a 3 door so she will have to spill hot chocolate and piss on your front seat instead

Wheel Centres
purple highline monster replied to AndreWilk's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
I had a contact in canada who got me these! alloy and enamel small porsche crests that stick straight on the the RH centres, they cover the RH symbol perfectly and look pretty cool on my RH ZW1`s imo they have been speed tested to .......miles per hour and stay put!! i did get some sets for a few others on here dont know if they used em or not??? if they didnt they may sell em to ya? -
Hehttp://www.yourcarisshit.com/list-all-cars.aspy dudes and dude`tes, everyone gets a bit disgruntled on here from time to time right? well now you have the perfect vent! no registration needed just post up whatever abuse you like! brilliant, unfortunately a few v dubs have crept on but hey its mostly chav cars and shitreons!
-
its g12 the vw stuff, probably the same as its better for alloy than the blue gear
-
but this is kinda growing on me!!! not "its proper chav innit" Scum!!
-
lol this should be broken too what was the c**t thinking!

what i dont understand (and probably never will) is why someone would want to make their car look like that? and in the process make it sooooooo heavy with filler and fibreglass its actually slower than standard! if they are trying to "replicate" a touring car just chuck the interior out, chop the inner arches away slam it on scaffolding suspension and spend the money you have saved on plastic bodywork and paint on tuning the engine!!! maybe thats just tooo easy?, thats defo a barryboys creation imo

Parts help please, BERU or not BERU?
purple highline monster replied to jpc's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
personally i have genuine vw plugs partly coz i like the genuine stuff and mostly as i get it cheap! as long as the plugs are the correct type ie heat range and platinum then they would be fine, a vw set are around £70 for a set or more -
Parts help please, BERU or not BERU?
purple highline monster replied to jpc's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
they are all oe spec, mostly made by the same companys vw use, just without the VW dealer "tax" for stocking old car parts! -

firstly check all the hoses are sound, your rad may have a small leak? or it could be a faulty header bottle cap valve, which is common a new cap is a few quid and is the place i would start other than check the hoses, other thing to consider if its not any of that is any oily residue in the header bottle? if there is this can sometimes indicate a head gasket problem, even if theres no oil in the water sometimes a head can go pourous, dont panic just check the simple things first, i had a minor leak on the hose that goes in the heater on the bulk head, sometime the jubilee clips need undoing p

Coil pack arcing & missing
purple highline monster replied to jpc's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
sealing the crack is supposed to be possible, at the end of the day if your gonna removed the pack you may aswell replace it imo, get a good 2nd hand one or new if you can afford it, it saves doing the job 2 or 3 times in the future! -
very true... but the vr6 engine was designed with all the pressures factored into its running ability, if you mess with the enines breathing something else has to be changed to match normally, if you change a manifold on its own for an uprated one for instance that can actually be negative and cause the car to lose power if you dont change something else aswell, i would just retain a 2 or 3 box system of about 2 1/2 inch diameter and see how that goes, a standard pipe on such a modified car cant be any good for it anyway? and if everything was set up or mapped when that exhaust was fitted then

its minimal mate, it probably only amounts to about 30kg if that over a basic car, dead cows dont weigh much! mmmoooooo

Suspension advice please
purple highline monster replied to dstyrrell's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
second that, coilovers arent that much more and give you a better scope for modding, especially if you change wheels etc...imo its worth doing it right first time and my FK Highsports are spot on, decent price (£350) great quality nice drop and shed loads of adjustment to get the look you want, new top mounts bolts and 4 wheel alignment and the jobs a goodun, problem with springs and shocks is you are limited to the height and if its to high or low your stuffed! -
so many urban myths surround loads of cars! and a lot of it comes from "bloke down the pub said" every time i have tyres fitted or an mot done someone always says "you have got play in your rear wheel bearings mate" when in reality IF they knew anything about VW`s they would realise that you need a small amount of play for them to run correctly, if they are over tightened they burn up and fail!!!! OB2 engined cars are supposedly 185 bhp as standard but how true that is who knows???? on the subject of myths apparantly it IS still legal for a you to shoot a Welshman on a Sunday in Cheltenham wi

Exhaust fited on the VR6
purple highline monster replied to The_0ne's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
I aprove same as mine, the smell you mention goes away after a bit, its just the internals burning of manafacture oils and wadding smell, take it for a spin for about half hour or so and once the pipes are red hot it sounds absolutely awesome! i took mine to canterbury yesterday throught the lanes and it never fails to make me grin when you open it up! a very subtle exhaust that sounds spot on imo, not too loud but purposefull, i got mine direct from jetex for £275 inc vat and delivery -
eerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr +o( (yn) (yn) "how very dare you" but hey! dont forget the "great handling of ultra low suspension set up" that translates to "chopped springs on original shocks" me thinks, wtf was the guy thinking when he did that to a car let alone a mk3 VR, i suppose it always happens, prices come down and people in the PEN 15 club get hold of them, i should hope it wont sell even if hes advertised it in every town in the world!!

Nice looking car mate, those rims look like BBS RK`S to me

my boot will not lock!
purple highline monster replied to harry's topic in I.C.E, Security an Electrical
check the mechanism first, also the striker pin where it catches, if something has moved it wont shut properly its only allen keys for removal and tightning, also check inside the lock part itself, the boot light switch is housed within there and they are a pain in the arse! if a part has broken off it, it may be stopping the lock operating, i am on my third boot light switch in a year!! poxy design and leaves the light on flattening your battery if your not carefull!
