    215 40`s rub so a 45 will rub the shite out of your tyres, how wide are those rims 8 j ? if they are you will have all sorts of clearance probs on those tyres without arch mods be carefull as you can seriously damage your front or rear arches if the contact is too great!!!! you dont want a bent wing! or rear 1/4 panel

    hey guys i am sure this has been dicussed about 20 times.....THEY ARE ILLEGAL....due to the german font used and no embossed bs123a (i think thats the number?) & kite symbol on them, if you get the metal plates with the british style font dubweiser do then as long as the rear is yellow and reflective and the front is white and reflective then you should get no hassle and it may pass an mot (in theory but they dont have the BS kite mark on them so be carefull), if you use the german font with white front and back then it may be overlooked most of the time by police but be prepared to lose

    porsche rims are et 60, as binliner has said just need 25mm spacer which converts 5 x 100 to 5 x 130 stud pattern and bolt genuine rims on!! DONT try and put 10 j 911 ones on it though!!!

    most of the bits are "standard" it all sits in one of those doggy polystyrene? moulded jobbies, mines also got the little plastic tweezers to get the black plastic caps off the wheel bolts and a little red tool with the BBS logo on top of it to remove the centre caps of my solitudes even though they have vw logo centres not BBS!!, other than those bits and the the tow eye hook its all pretty basic what you get in most v dubs, dealers charge too much get down the scrappies!!

    lol jake yeah the cayene turbo or the petrol dub would have been a bit tricky!!! obviously i only did 77 mph in my world anything without a porsche or a vw badge is inferior anyway some of the italian stuff is ok too i suppose oh and aston martins!!!

    tut tut tut Lee, thats very informative....but its wrong! the NIP bit is all a bit wordy, agree they are the laid down guidlines, but if you rattled that off to most people would they remember???? the mere fact the person is "reported" for a given offence is enough, they have also mislead with the caution...once the conversation is complete and the final caution is given, the word "questioned" is replaced with "now" so no only is it wrong but it will make someone look a tit if they try to defend themselves!!

    Evos dont half cost some money to run though! a guy at work just sold his 8 , he had nothing but problems with it, it was a year old and he had it from new, clutch went twice! numerous other gremlins with electrics and mechanicals, he even had problems with the suspension being so hard that when he hit rough bits on the roads it was pinching the tyre against the standard rims and defleting the tyres a few psi everytime!!! how dangerous is that!! it took months for the dealer to work out why he was getting so many "punctures" they maybe fast and handle well but reliable and easy to live with th
