  1. Hi Owen, Sounds like you are going to really going look after it so that's great, dont forget it had a major service in October so doesn't need one yet unless you just want to check things out. Enjoy, might take the Lotus out at the weekend if its dry! And yes please keep in touch on the car. Cheers
  2. Hello Owen! It was good too meet all of you and hope you enjoy the car, i'm already missing it! I'm sure you will take care of it and try not to have too many trips down to Leeds otherwise it won't have such ultra low miles! Take care After Eight
  3. OK as to my word my car has now hit 46,000 miles and I think I'm ready to sell it. (Ideally to someone who would like it keep it original, it would make a great show car) 2 months ago it had it's major 40,000 mile service at the VW garage it's always been serviced at. It's still really mint except I never got around to refurbishing the alloys, (although not kerbed thay have bubbled up) I will put full details in the for sell section shortly (Tinny22 and goonersteve I will email you first) Cheers
  4. Thats great, thanks for the replies, I'm going to get the wheels refurbished this week then get them balanced. Cheers, After Eight
  5. Hello, Around town the car seems ok but as soon as I took it onto the motorway the car /steering wheel vibrates quite badly. I guess the front wheels may need balancing but could it be anything else? Cheers, After Eight
  6. Once I've been for a good 20 minute run it's almost impossible to select Reverse, it does engage but it drives forwards not backwards! What could be causing this? Cheers, After Eight
  7. I had 2 tyres fitted today and the tyre fitter said that as it was a 1997 VR6 it had the 2.9 engine in it. Also earlier that day I had a new radiator fitted which apparently is slightly bigger than the normal VR6 ones as my model year needed the bigger version. Which got me thinking that maybe it has the 2.9 fitted. Or were both the tyre fitter and the garage talking rubbish? Cheers, After Eight
  8. Thanks for the replies, Tinny - I can't really sell so soon, I've only had it a couple of days and its great. I may sell once it has around 46,000 miles, it will also give me a chance to improve on its already great condition, ie wheels refurb, might use chips away for the couple of small stone chips on its nose. I will email you first if I ever decide to sell. Cheers, After Eight
  9. Hello, After many years I have just convinced a friend to sell me his 1997 Black VR6 Highline with Black Leather, he has owned it from new, has full VAG service history, only 41,000 genuine miles, totally original, looks like brand new inside and out except the original alloys have started to bubble up (so I'm going to refurbish them as I like the idea of keeping it original). Any ideas of the value as it's hard to put a price on one with this mileage? Not sure if I now ever want to sell it! Cheers, After Eight
