  1. Sounds like immense fun. Me, I'm loving the wicked power slides in the ice. Puts a huge on my face every time.
  2. System Support Ananlyst for Central Government (Project Manager, Solutions Consultant, Network Support) all the functions, without the title or quite as much pay. Still, it pays well and is enough to support my family, so I'm happy enough, for now... Re. qualifications, as much as you can get Me? I'm chasing ITIL and PRINCE2
  3. Not sure about the cost but a quick search on Google threw up Austec racing: http://www.austec.co.uk
  4. The warning was for a ramp not a ditch. Get the photos and make your claim. I would make it my project, take your time, don;t lose your rag and just keep hitting them with letters and the evidence. Get your mechanic to provide a report with the damage found also.

    New Look...

Like a new pair of pants and fresh pair of socks
  6. Hi Fireblade, what a very brave man (I'm assuming you're male) you are coming onto this site with a question like that! Good thing we're a friendly lot who like to pride ourselves on our honest opinions. I dare say most Ford websites would meet the mention of most things non Ford with a few expletives! To answer your question, they're two very different machines in every way. Performance, handling etc. I would guess that the ST200 (not having driven one) would be fairly peaky being a 4 pot which means you would need to rev it to get the best out of it. The VR6 as you probably know has a 6 pot

    fcking cnut

True, but in the event that someone was unlucky to have their car totally trashed then it would be cheaper to have the insurance pay for a respray and you pay the excess and increase in premium than to pay for the damage out of your own pocket. In this case it's not worth it for the small area damaged.

    Fuckers

Of course, it boosts the crime fighting figures! Why waste time looking for the real criminals when you can sit on your ar*e all day taking snaps of drivers exceeding the speed limit by a few mph?! Oh yeah, beacuse it's a criminal offence to speed!

Is something like vandalism covered by insurance I wonder?
  10. A good wax polish should cover the scuffs and blend them in. You may need to wax/polish it every so often to mask the scuffs

It 'IS' a Dragon Green thing! Pulled out of the garage that had replaced my timing chains and clutch a few weeks back and some toatal fu*king wanker scrapes the pasenger side of my car as i pull out of the garage. I had a witness but the f*cker drove on after he'd hit me and I was facing the wrong the way way to give chase. Didn't get his licence plate, left a few nice dents in the door, and scrapes and screwed the trim. Body shop did the best they could for 100 notes but it looks crap. A second hand door will likely be s mismatch in shade mate so you may need to have the whole side blended in
  12. Not wishing to cast any bad light on Ultimate Tune, or Rob who I do not personally know, but this is an open forum with a duty of care to each other. It's never pleasant receiving a public slating but from C2s and Ulitmate Tune's 'unhappy customers', (who claim they are receiving no contact and that the phones aren't being answered) point of view, how much is enough? How long do you attempt to communicate with someone and how many chances do you give them before you give up and decide to warn others of your experiences? We slate other companies for minor issues but this issue is quite a bit mo
  13. Stuey, the Jetex wouldn;t have necessarily been any quieter. There's never a guarantee, sadly... Before i had my system built at Longlife, they told me that the VR6 had a natural resonance at around 2300/2800 rpm but after that it was quiet. They said that they choice of tailpipe also made a difference to the sound. They were right. Although I would consider mine quiet, there is a definite boom/drone around that rev range which tails off the higher you go. On the motorway she's fine. My sister had a similar system fitted to her VR6 a while later at another dealership and it's the same.
  14. lol I dream that one day mine I'll walk onto my drive and find that she's turned into an R32
  15. You're not missing out to much. Your car is sweet as it is
  16. I would have said 1st is the hardest used, acclerating from stand still etc.
  17. Yeah the so called EDL doesn;t work very well on any fo the VRs I've driven. I think the frosty roads are highlighting the wheelspin, I've noticed it allot more over the last week and am having to take it easy on the exit from roundabouts
  18. As I undestand it, all VR6s had it as standard but it's not proper traction control. It's EDL (Electronic Diferrential Lock) which works with the ABS. It works only at low revs and involves the the ABS being activated rapidly to combact wheelspin, apprantly. It explains it in the manual i beleive. Apologies in advance if I haven't got the tech part quite right
  19. Like Rix said, a platic covering of some kind. You can get those rolls of sticky matt black PVC that you could trim and fit across the entire width. Fiddly maybe but cheap
  20. Add a table spoon of oil and season with salt, pepper and thyme. Warp loosely in foil Place in top shelf of a pre heated oven, gas mark 7 or 180 degrees for 2.5 hrs Baste regularly Leave to stand for 5 mins garnish with parsley Sorry mate... couldn't resist
  21. Valid point and ordinarily I would agree Nerih, but my last conversation with Raj (approx 4 months back) surprised me. I asked about all of the kits and he pretty much summed up what we already know. He didn't slate any of the other kits or vendors either. Vince and his team are great also but I do feel that at times they try to sell you more than you need or ask for. I have asked for quotes on timing chains in the past and they've tried to sell me a complete package of refurbished head etc for
  22. No snow in West London, yet... but biting cold and frost on the roads. Got to be careful exiting those roundabouts, I've had a few hairy but impressive power slides, non intentional too
  23. Take mine for example, goes in to have timing chains, guides and tensioner replaced, comes out sounding like a V8. This happens 3 times before they get the timing right! Some twat whacks into the side of my car as I finally leave the garage, then it begins making noise from the gear box clutch area after a long run that evening and guess what, it's leaking oil from 'somewhere'. The following day I notice the AC is working 'intermitantly' and the air recirculation switch has started making a whining sound and stopped working the mechanism. Later that day the heater control illumination lamp fai
