  1. Cor 19's! Have you got any better pics?
  2. My passenger door done it but only over 100Mph or so - I wound the window down and put a towel between the door and the body and gave it a couple of gentle pushes and its fine now. What wheels are you running? They look like 18's!
  3. I think its on VW Vortex - if your cahins are rattling though you'll know about it - just listen for a rattle on the gearbox side of the engine. Rev the engine and listen, its usually most audible at about 1200rpm.
  4. No worries - I learnt that way too with things but once you find somewhere that knows what their doing and are reliable its best to stick with them! It takes me about 45 mins to get there & Im in Sidcup.
  5. where abouts in Kent are you Hoppa? Im in Kent too but would take my car around the M25 to The Phirm for any big work that needs to be done as I know Im going to get a good job done by a VW specialist not just someone thats going to 'have a go'.
  6. Anyone know where I can get a set of the metal silver BBS centre caps without having to pay £20-£30 each - they are for a set of 17" RX2's
  7. The ones in the pic are RX2's ie Proper split rims they would be 17" I think as thats what I have on mine - these didnt come as standard on any car - only the smaller 16" RX's did but these werent splits. How much did you get them for cos their worth a fair bit!
  8. If he had robbed me of £2500 of my money I would go up there with a few of my own mates and wouldnt come back without my money or something to the value of what he took from me - no way would I wait til something gets sorted on here - this has been going on for too long now. Your never going to get your money back by posting on a forum - you all know where he lives, just go and see him!
  9. Mine losing coolant too to at the mo - not a lot but it looks as if its going to be the water pump - quite a common problem apparently so worth checking - as long as you dont run out of water the head should be ok! :0) Get a compression test done at the garage, that will tell you if theres a problem with the head gasket too.
  10. No - I mean when I come to a junction and I try and put it into 1st gear when the engine/gearbox is still pretty cold - once its warmed up its fine
  11. Anything engine related I try and use genuine parts as I know they'll last - was your O2 sensor making the engine run lean? Thats what the problem with mine was
  12. I think I will get a genuine one - lost faith in patent parts after a set of leads & a lamda sensor from Eurocar Parts!
  13. Similar prob with mine - hard to get into 1st when its cold ie: when your changing from a higher gear to 1st - from standing its fine
  14. Excellent! Cheers - doesnt sound like its anything too bad then which is good. Is it better to use an OEM pump or is there no difference?
  15. I like them - they work well with the black trim
  16. Cheres for the reply - the chassis leg does look more wet than it should but then again that could be the rain! Theres no squealing or anything & its not getting hot yet. I did think it could be the rad but it doesnt look as if theres any steam coming from the front of the engine bay - looks to be at the side somewhere
  17. 3Mph more and you would have been straight to court so you you were quite lucky in some respects. If it says 30Mph thats the limit, dual carriageway or not. Since I got banned I've invested in a road angel - saved me a few times & I've only had it a couple of months. You might not necessarily be booting it and taking the p*ss but if your a few Mph over the limit and have a laser gun pointed at you your gonna get busted if you like it or not & with all the 'SPECS' cameras popping up to catch you as you go round bends etc it wont be long before everyone has a laser detector or drives
  18. Was at traffic lights last night and noticed steam coming out from around the drivers side headlight - checked the coolant this morning and the level had dropped just below the minimum but theres no sign of where the water is leaking from and the only place I can see steam coming from is from the area around all of the pulleys near the air filter - any ideas of where it could be coming from? Could it be related the water pump? Cheers 8)
  19. Or get a different set of wheels - a 20mm drop is nothing! Do you know what off-set they are Jay? It'll be on the face of the wheel somewhere or behind where the bolts go through - it'll start with ET
  20. Mines looking nice and high, I always think its quite low until I meet up with everyone! I'm gonna lower it a bit more but dont wanna ruin the front splitter when its been re-painted (again!)
  21. A good rub with a shammy is probably the last thing you wanna do - I think some of the bigger Halfrauds do clay bars. You can order one online from Meguiars etc.
  22. Conrgartulations Gary! Good start to the new year hey :0)
  23. I cant believe he just joins another forum using his real name and the forum name of 'Ultimate' !dodge Like nobody will ever find out!
