  2. yep there crap mate like pretty much everything they sell mate i stuck one on a vr once and it poored water out ov bearing before i even started car .but thats just my opinion i never use gsf now because i have had too many probs with them.
  3. could also be shockers ,top suspension mounts ,engine mounts creaks can sometimes be quite a twat to get to the bottom of mate .

    yes they will mate.
  5. so are you saying that heaters are not blowing hot if so you should be able to adjust the matrix so it just blows hot if its not working from switch you have to get under dash and play with controls on matrix itself but sometimes flaps break in matrix housing and you may need to replace
  6. well done mate and theres a lot ov people out there who wouldnt have attempted themselves so good for you its great to achieve something you are not sure you can do isnt it and i bet your chuffed at all the cash you just saved yourself too .once again well done .youll be doing your tensioners next he he he
  7. purple thats caused by overtightning mate and whoevers it was it must have been humming its sack off they should only be done up to just a fraction past finger tight any tighter and this can be the result as you said as i said in my previous post if its humming change it as this means bearing is knackered but as i said the rears are tapered and can have play after 100 miles or less sometimes its just the way they are aslong as you dont overtighten a non humming bearing and just adjust it up to just past finger tight you will not have this prob .
  8. if they not making noise just adjust em up mate save new bearing til old 1s start rumbling
  9. or did she say it was your fault she drove into you ive had that b4
  10. you will not get a new one much cheaper than that unless one pops up secondhand and as they are common for going down id advise forking out for new .
  11. make sure to check the bits the sensors get signal from i.e rings on back of hubs if they are dirty and grotty or rusty it can stop sensors from getting correct signal.
  12. rear ones work loose john because they are tapered generally you can just regrease and tighten em up a bit.
  13. is it the plastic bit thats actually broken if so i dont have one but ford is cheapest place to acquire them as far as i know and if no1 beats me to it i will post the ford part no up tomorrow after work because thats where i kep the number.
  14. Sounds a bit wierd as for pedal going solid i would look inside throttle body just to check there is no faults with butterfly you may find a screw has come loose and causing to stick as for fuel pump relay i dont believe its no18 its bottom right hand fuse in fusebox and gets a feed off of no 53 which sits above fuse box i think 18 is main ignition relay but wont swear to that as for coilpack they can be very temperamental and could just be on its way out i could be wrong .i do know if 18 is playing up it can cause starting problems so try changing that 1st but i reckon its just coincidence th
  15. not sure of numbers mate but they sit above fuse box and its not the 53 i know this doesnt help loads but puts you in right direction also if you let me know excactly what number you want i should have a couple.
  16. The hubs actually wear down on inner edge where they meet with driveshafts and cause the bearings to wear quicker i always replace hubs at same time as bearings now because it saves this problem reoccuring you can get new hubs from eurocarparts for approx £30+v.a.t and this will stop the bearings wearing so quick .Thats if you are talking about fronts anyway.
  17. if your anywhere near stoke on trent i have a couple of good second hand 1s i could supply and fit for £75mate.
  18. make sure they connected to plugs properly also are plugs new cos if not could be faulty plug aswell.
  19. could be all manner of things check all air intake hoses are alright look under bonnet with car running in dark see if any sign of sparks from coilpack or end of plug leads where they join plugs its hard to see them but you can if you try hard enough but ideally you want to get it stuck on diagnostic vag com as this will tell you of any major faults .
  20. relay should be a little square box plugged into end of wire .
  21. I probably have a second hand 1 in good condition put up pic and il let you know mate .
  22. I find that steam cleaning engine can knock em out real quick and ive also had a few go down on 1 cylinder so i would say it is a common thing for them to go down but thats just my opinion.
  23. sounds like electronic deadlock is playing up try disconnecting battery and unlocking passenger door with key mate no guarantees but this might do the job.
  24. surely when you put foot on clutch this is pushing thrust bearing onto pressure plate to open clutch so its in fact under load then mate i dont know why they stop making noise when clutch depressed but i do know they do shut up when foot depressed.
  25. ok mate but 90 percent of the time ive found thrust bearing stops making noise when you put foot on clutch.
