  1. I also have used mk3 clocks in mine. plus i`m running comlete mk3 front lighting and power loom coupled to mk2 headlight connector. You have to shave a fraction of the top of the dashboard so as to raise the clock up into alignment, and move the side brakets slightly to fit the wider clocks.

  7. Its just a matter of removing the gear stick through the top (inside the car), held in by a couple of 13mm bolts and some split pins. Then striping down the stick, and replaceing the pivot mech. with a new BnM pivot. Fit it back in it`s hole, and play with the cable adjustment (at the gear box end, 13mm nut on the selector) untill it falls into gear smoovly... Depends what you are like mechanicly, it should take you from 45mins to 1.5hrs... The instructions are not very clear at all. They are a photo copy in american, which mine didn`t make much sense.... so be patient and use comon sen
  8. I dont know why the VR is so long. If you drive a gti mk3, 8v ( i know it`s rod change) but it feels soooo much better
  9. Yer, don`t cut the rod as it has a real harsh affect. The BnM kit is a modified gearstick, which seams to be heavier making it feel realy solid and clunk in to gear. And it`s made shorter by pivoting in a slightly different poss. Really easy Si... You`ll do it in under an hour

  11. Just carried out this conv. for my younger brother , running a digi-pant pb. Just basicly obtained a broken passat, running a 20L 2E, used the complete block with pb mk2 head, and metal head gasket from ABF 16v. Run up @ 138 brake @ stealth... not bad for a £50 engine, flowed head and mild cam

  13. OOOOPs sorry ... not been on-line for a while. Cheers vrmonster for the pt. nos. you need a 5m spacer between carrier and hub to correct the offset. The pads i am using are my 288 pads , EBC greenstuff, they are the same for 312. I am also using my original 288 calipers on the 312 carriers. if you are still unfortunate to be running 280`s, then sell them to someone with a mk2 , and with the money look for a set of 288. I have picked up 3 sets recently all for around £60 each.... as they seem to be quite common. ie all 95> golf 5stud, passat`98>, audi, ect... its def. worth th
