    Shouldnt be red hot as the exhaust heat shield should protect it from the heat coming fron the exhaust manifold.

    When I did mine I just left a 1 inch gap between the end of the thread on the coilover and the spring platform/nut. Might require a bit of trial and error to get right.

    Most accurate way would be to measure the arch to floor. The pulling to the left is due to the camber/wheel alignment not being setup afterwards.

    Ive not had any problems from my 144k miler, it still ran after drinking loads of water!

    Get rid of the plastic cover on the engine and polish the inlet manifold! 8-) Looking good!

    They are. ;-) Most people say that the rear arches shouldnt be cut as the lip is part of the strength of the rear arches.

    Ive got just the VR, maybe a daily driver Passat Estate soon. My bro has just bought a '51 plate MK4 Golf 1.8T. Yeah, too right that Passat corners! lol :-D
