i would have thought a remap would have been essential to to alter air/fuelling to compliment any major mods.but vince wud know!do you feel like youve been round the houses?LOL
myself,admin,petesvw have the BVH.anything that helps the engine breathe better has got to be a plus.looking at 700 for this mod.carnt tell personally as a single mod as the vr is sc plus other mods.pm admin is as he did is mods 1 by 1,should be able togive you feedback!
if you take the ISV off and clean it thoroughly with carb cleaner.then let the engine idle for 10mins for the ECU to relearn this should help your symptoms.vag com would be the next probable step.
underfueling under load buddy!slap on vr pump[4bar rated].then everything will be hunkydorry.had a mk3 gti pump on mi old vr until a got a 2ndhand vr one for 40quid off a corrado vr-same symptoms.
stealth built this set up-top fellow that vince!but only expect 200-250miles on a full tank with a mix of driving steady/hard.cars just cracked 100k.had the charger on for 50k-alls well!but did have the chainsdone at 50k with mk4 runners included.think you have to have a forged/balanced bottom end if you want to push more tha 12psi from a sc or turbo.
had mine up to 140 on a private stretch of runway!was in 4th at 6k-thats fast enough for me!but i have the stealth/gemini 6speed box.so wot is the probable top speed kev?
i would take the coilpack off and thoroughly examine it for cracks around 1 and 6 leads.super glue silicone repairs the cracks.sometimes cures the problem.if it doesnt i would buy a new coilpack!
i am VERY happy with a sc set up.the power is predictable and linear.you earns your buck...... do you want ultimate power-turbo.or usable prgressive-sc.300+bhp can be transfered to the tarmac with a decent diff/racelogic set up!as kev says though-a big dollop of power isnt healthy for the drivetrain[turbo] as opossed to a linear sc set up.recon 400bhp is possible on a sc vr with the safety of IC-WI-lower CR.but more power is available from a turbo-but you wuold be throwing more money at it! just my opinion!
when you are running a sc and other mods it is very easy to embarrass other 'performance' brands.you dont have a modded vr to drive about slowly[when the mood takes you].
20-25mpg when giving it some beans.25-35 on a run with light throttle.but 6th helps the economy alot.spec is 2.9,V2 with 8.5pulley,BVH,SHRICK MANI AND 248S,uprated pump,injectors,water injection,8.5CR,303bhp/278 torque.hope this helps!
a question off topic sparkz. how much power can the racelogic tc cope with?as much as you can chuck at it?running 8.5psi pulley,248s,aquamist,shrick,th bodies,2.9,BVH?thinking of going 12psi and MAFLESS?

went to the festival today.first time on the strip-wot a buzz it is! .had two runs.the best was 14.46 for the 1/4 and 0-60 in 6.31secs.sure with practice i will get better? met some club members,had a good day!got the strip buzz now-think i will be going to the pod. 8-|
