  1. They are a bit of a pain to do as you gotta knock the old ones out! And drop the rear axel. If you have a brake bias valve they usually don't come off easy either!! Id recommend getting a few prices! Try Vince at stealth racing see what his price is! Cheers.
  2. Yeah not too difficult. Easily can do it by jacking up that side or using a hoist maybe! What are they quoting you for parts / labour?
  3. hi mate. welcome to the club! Have you checked the fluid levels? I know its probably teaching you to suck eggs, but can only be 1 of 2 things; 1) low fluid 2) pump is on its way out

    Vpower...

always used BP ultima in my previous VR's, but did run normal unleaded on occasions - main petrol stations are ok. but when i ran tesco unleaded i suffered alot of 'pinking' and it never ran well....
  5. this happened on my mk3..... ended up being a intermittent faulty abs sensor..... ABS would spazz out when tapping the peddle but only when turning left.
  6. Yeah there's a very recent thread about auto > manual conversions detailing what needs to be changed. Do a search mate
  7. 2 second job swap the shift weight over buddy
  8. I'd hav thought if your fuse has gone, the circuit would be broken and wouldn't work at all! If coolant has spilt into it, and your fuses are jammed, I'd expect more damage to the components in the module, resulting in the problem you have now
  9. I think you will find it's tapatalk that doesn't support e107 (which is the CMS that we use) not the other way around once tapatalk add support I will set it up on here as I'm a user of it myself. Thanks Pete
  10. The manifold on my 1.2 punto looks less restrictive than that lol. Just visually looking it, very restrictive....
  11. they should be tight... and move when you change gear... they do snap... or might have come off at your gear stick end.... if its melted, its not a good sign... the cables should slide through the sleeves (effectively bowden cables... if they cant slide or have snapped, you've lost your gear change abilty
  12. Vag com will read climatronic fault codes. The thing is that there's a bunch of internal sensors / motors and fans with the system. I didn't think it was an easy job?!
  13. Correct :-) we have a mobile version to speed things up when on the move
  14. Ahh it's a repeat from last night, 3 wise men... Will sky+ that! Cheers mate
  15. Missed it somehow!! When's repeat?
  16. This needs turning into a guide for the FAQ section!
  17. My punto 07 plate has regulary been frozen on the inside. Nothing worry about in that respect. It's just the weather and I'm lucky to get heat out of my blowers even after a 9 mile drive to work, car just doesn't get hot enough
  18. The fans work ok, I'd have thought the 30amp fuse would be for them? From past experience I've known the fan co troll module to affect things... Yeah it does have 2. The drivers side pops up ok but the passenger side doesn't unlatch
  19. Hi everyone, Merry Christmas! I've got a few general questions I hope you can answer for me easily.... I've noticed a 5amp fuse in the fan control module unit in the engine bay - what does this do? I have noticed my aux water pump doesnt kick in, but 100% works as I've attached a 12v direct feed to it, and was wondering if the blown fuse in the fan control module unit may be at fault? I have replaced the matrix, but I have noticed that the blue bowden cable is now very stiff, what could cause this? Have I missed a trick putting the dash back in.... how easily should this cable move? Just tryin

    log book

You normally need to send an engineers report from a company qualified to carry out the work, or if you have a friendly mechanic....
  21. The mobile edition wouldn't work to well with it being a white background already, however, I've just enabled it for the 'full website' when viewed on iphone/ipad
