yeah i know not to reuse old bolts but not gonna throw money at the arp stuff for now as cost too much,my mini has arp bolts throughout and they are good like. cheers for the advice though and the pic is a godsend off to write that down in my ,manual now! chus1 point

Strange how one side pokes more than other. Are they both the same offset and the previous owner didn't just wreck one wheel and replace it with an ebay cheapie? They look really smart imo though. The black goes well against the green, and that gold1 point

I made the bonnet and the tailgate myself mate. The doors were £800. The company had to make 4 moulds - front and back for both doors. They have the Audi handle conversion in them so are worth their weight In gold if you ask me.1 point -

I got my bolts back which have been machined for the adapters so I fitted the wheels, I don't really like them now they are on the car lol I put the drivers seat in and took it for a drive and it smells of burning and none of the windows work, the motors make a sound but the windows don't move at all which is strange. Pics At the front one side seems to poke more than the other1 point

Ok I applied force, and it sheared. Oh well, kind of expected that. It sheared far down inside the spacer so I think I'll either thread the spacer, or maybe just make some of my own holes in the panel, put something on them to stop them corroding for a while and be done with it. Yeah I'm pretty pleased with them, I will run lower than that hopefully that's just how it came off the jack so not even settled. I have sent all my switches/clocks etc to be modified so I can't really finish the dash till they are back, in reality it's cold out and I can't be bothered lol Your thread has turned into a workshop manual/brakes discussion lol1 point

The carriers are the frame that space the calliper out to the right place, look in the 312mm brakes sticky in the wheels and brakes section. The 288mm callipers are essentially the same, the pads for each are the exact same pad. So if you are obd2 you don't change your callipers you just get the 312mm spaced carriers and the bigger discs from a mk4 era car that had 312s ie S3, TT, mk4 GTI anni, Octavia VRS1 point

I'm losing interest pretty fast now if it has heating and a dash In it at the weekend then I'll give it another chance, annoyingly I ordered new wings, sills and inner and outer rear arches for it last week lol That's what I thought with the pipes I could have been £100 out of pocket still without a matrix lol gsf won't refund one that's been fitted1 point

The matrix is a hella behr one so genuine, there's a metal bit at the bottom which is too big for the the hole the core itself fits just the bit at the top and base are slightly to big to go in. I have thought about getting another car but I will never finish this if I do as I would just start modding the daily it's happened before lol Tell me about it, it's only going to get worse the more I dig aswell I fear.1 point

To be honest I can't be bothered with the hassle I'm just going to bite the bullet and get them sorted. Well pristine wheels said no way we aren't touching them lol Luckily there's a guy in Northampton who is shit hot and cheap so he is sorting it for me.1 point

That doesn't necessarily mean anythings mixing, You could just need to take it for a really long drive to boil off any condensation in the engine.1 point
