Yeah it will be ok for a while it wont run perfect but barely noticeable. I have had to do it before with a customer your engine management light will come on but still driveable.

The sump from a r32 will it is shallower. There is a how to on here somewhere as you need to change a few bits over. -
Well I will have 4 month to build it so should be doable. It's the management side that's going to be a pain do i convert to obd2 (I think I have most of the conversion) and use united Motorsport software or do I find a supplier for obd1.

If my golf is finished I would be up for this starting on the engine build this weekend when I collect my new engine from daveyboy.

Asking on behalf of a relative looking for a headliner for a mk2 3 door sunroof model. Preferably in black the car is a 84 model don't know If that makes any difference.

I'm based in the northeast. I'm going turbo and it would be so much easier to build a motor separate and then just swap it over.

You need get right under the car and have a proper look could be that a rubber has gone or the exhaust itself could be snapped. I would say if its dropped and twisted like that looks like it could be snapped underneath at a joint.

It all depends on what type of power your going for and what sort of budget you got. There are people who have spent 5k plus easily on putting a turbo on a vr6 and other who have done it for less than £1k. Try looking in the bahnbrenner website they are based in the states and sell everything you could possibly need to go turbo. As for the engine mileage it won't matter if its getting rebuilt.

That's what I do bud but to be honest most parts companies don't supply gaskets anymore. That's why I end up using sealant.

I would just use sealer on it but that's my preference. I have used the sealant on hundreds of sumps at work and never had a leak yet.

Thanks for the info just what I wanted to know. I will just use the o2m for now and can always store the rest of the stuff for a later date. I love the mk2 g60 my cousin has one bored out to 2.0 and running a Bahn brenner charger that thing shifts. Although he has now decided the g60 lump will go in his lupo his e46 m3 lump is going in the golf and the BMW is getting a big block v8.

I have seen a couple of mk3 running 4 motion setup but wasn't sure if there was a difference between the bora and the mk4 setup. I'm pretty sure it would be the same as Bora and mk4 pretty much same car but would like someone to confirm this also From what I have read the motion box would be better for the turbo build as the vr6 ones don't look boost.

There was a thread on here someone was breaking a bora v6 4 motion and its not that far from me but before I go out and buy it wanted to make sure it would work.

I'm looking at getting the running gear out of a bora v6 4 motion. Will this be the same as the mk4 4 motion setup I understand it will need a few things changing to get it to work with my mk3 vr6. If anyone knows if it will work and what I will need to make it work will be running about 350bhp with turbo. I understand there is a lot of fabrication involved for the 4wd setup but was thinking of running just fwd to get the car on the road and add the rest later.

There is a local vw club near me in Middlesbrough. They meet every couple of weeks in a pub that's 5 mins away from me. But my golf is still in bits should vw fest tho if I haven't bought a beetle before then.

When I bought mine it did something similar never missed a beat when driving but would sometimes hunt and stall when the revs dropped. Mine was stood for a while before I got it so I gave it a service a good run out and used a petrol treatment to clear out the lines and it ran fine after might be worth a try.
