  2. I've got a golf highline and mine hasn't got one, the pedal is just bare metal with groves in it? Are they supposed to have one?
  3. Is the car fitted with a tracker? Some trackers have panic buttons included? Just another thought?
  4. Fantastic sound.... Looking forward to seeing the figures.. Nice one mate
  5. I'm pretty sure they are 28 & 30 mm 4 pot calipers so with my calculations that's a total of 116mm piston area? Is that correct?
  6. Thanks for reply's but once again conflicting opinions lol. Difficult one this.. Thanks viw28 for those part numbers... The front Porsche calipers would undoubtably be more powerful. Shame as everything I need is with this setup...
  7. Hi vr gurus, I have located a set of rear boxter s calipers, adapters and 312mm discs intended for the front of a golf vr6. My question is are the rear boxter s calipers any more powerful than the standard vr fronts? After searching on here I haven't found a definite answer.. Any advice would be most welcome. Regards Zac.
  8. There is one curently listed for sale on ebay, it has cracked between the valves so is for spares or repairs. Not sure if its a common problem with these?? They may be ported out close to the tolerances... ??
  9. Severe overheating causing the oil to break down and loose its lubricating qualities is another poss.
  10. The metal swarf that you have found is defiantly from the shells and nothing to do with the chain, as I'm sure you know now. This will have most likely been caused due to lack of oil or oil pressure, I'm sure that large piece of plastic you pulled out of the strainer wasn't helping oil flow.
  11. You need to upload the vids to somewhere like photobucket, then link that video in your posts on this site, may even work with YouTube? I use photobucket myself
  12. The black is for removing covers from wheel bolts, the red looks like a tiny stick of dynamite...
  13. Will these be appearing in the store when they are in stock Pete? Would like a hooded top.

  20. Hi and thanks for reply, I think the cat must be deadening the pulsing/ burble sound of the engine somewhat, I'm just not sure how much by? I really like the sound of the miltek. Not too loud or raspy..... A nice deep factory tuned sound. I've watched videos on YouTube and some people have got the vr rumble coming through really well.... Mabe someone will be along soon who have recently fitted a decat pipe and could give us more info..
  21. Hi fellow vr lovers, I currently have a miltek cat back system and cda air box fitted. Sounds very nice under load but I would like to get abit more of the vr burble note through, I was wondering if anyone out there has found a noticeable difference to the exhaust note after fitting a decat pipe? I've searched the forum but not found much about sound before and after.... Cheers in advance.
