  1. I'm going for pretty much the same, arp rod bolts, 2.5" exhaust. The car has already got sp263's installed which should complement the turbo nicely. I shall prob see u at the rolling road day if your going?
  2. Lmao, I never seem to have difficulties finding chicken teeth will swap 10 chicken teeth for set of black grab handles lol
  3. Love the work you doing. All reds look great against the black body... Could you tell me What year passat those grab handles come off please? Been after some black ones that fit the mk3 for a while now.
  4. As the guys above said Definatly sounds like clutch release bearing has failed.. Probably chewed its way through the fingers on the clutch pressure plate. It will not disengage the clutch properly hence gear selection problems. A new cluch kit with brearing should do it. Might be worth inspecting the release fork as I know they are prone to cracking/flexing on some vr6 gearboxes. Not sure if 4mo are the same .
  5. Hi vag hag. Lmao Iv been glued to YouTube searching for every vrt video I could find. Nice to know Iv not been alone. I was in touch with Nick while his car was being done and followed the progress on here and the corrado fourm. Don't post much on there as mines a mk3 golf but like to see what others are upto I knew yours was going in around the same time. Vince said he was going to have two cars in for turbos. Just seen your thread on here. Very Nice looking Corrado mate. Iv read so many reviews from others on the conversion and they all say the power and performance is staggering while
  6. Something like this. Will prob take some finding to get one the right size. I'm sure you will make something fit lol. http://thumbs3.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mn8UxgFY5Ao99AKh3Kp4kjw.jpg As for holding it in place. Trial and error I'm afraid
  7. You can get some that are just a ring that squash. but the type in my opinion would be best for your downpipe is the sort that are used on exhaust manifolds on most cars. a flat metal gasket with a raised section in the Center that crushes together when you lighten up the bolts to make a good seal. You just need to find one the right size for ur down pipe.
  8. Locktite and spring washers should solve the auto loosening bolts. Locktite alone will melt and dissolve with the heat. Some good strong spring washers should stop it. As for the gasket cork is usually ok for inlet side but you need a metal "crush" gasket for exhaust really... I know on the mk4 golfs there is a peg u pull out of the selector mechanism to set the gear selection up.. I think it's on the cables on the vr6 but not totally sure.
  9. Yes got it now.. It does look close to the turbo compared with other installs Iv seen.. At far as I understand it as bealieboy said earlier if the maf is too close to turbo it detects the turbulence and causes over fueling. This does cause running problems but I'm no expert and cannot say if the symptoms are the same as yours with not starting, cutting out or just simply poor performance. Hopefully someone with more experience can help regarding its location and the symptoms ur getting.... Not easy finding the fault with no fault codes
