  1. That's basically saying that the abs controller or ecu is not responding / talking to your diagnostic equipment. you arn't even accessing the ecu to read any fault codes. Start with basics first. check for blown fuses and that the large plug on the abs controller itself is plugged in and connections are clean. can you access orther ecu's on the vehicle ok e.g. engine managment system??
  2. Just brought t shirt, only got medium in black though, could do with large..... hope its fits lol.
  3. Excellent! some hoodies / coats branding the owner club logo would take my fancy.... mabe some seat covers too? if other members out there like me get dirty at work seat covers are always in use in their vr
  4. I fitted sp 263's last year as they were recommended by stealth racing. I was after more mid range pull as the vr is abit lazy building up the revs. I had the same mods as you with bmc and cat back. After fitting there was a noticable difference from 2800rpm right through the rest of the rev range, whereas 268's tend to kick in quite late so require you to rev the knackers off your engine to get into the powerband... pointless for a road car in my opinion . The engine is noticably more aggressive, revs up much quicker from 2800rpm and pulls strong right though. However You will need a
  5. Was just messing about on web and found this. Dated 9/05/2013 Volkswagen is allegedly working on a successor for the highly-acclaimed VR6 engine Work on the all-new narrow-angle V6 direct-injection gasoline engine is being supervised by Fritz Eichler who is Volkswagens new head of engine development. Before making the switch to VW, Eichler worked at AMG where he was in charge of the latest power units. While previous VR6 engines were naturally aspirated, the new one will adopt forced induction and could turn out to be a twin-turbo arrangement. Volkswagen previewed this engine back in May at
  6. Poriordan any updates on the project? iv been enjoying following the progress. cant wait to here how it turns out.
  7. Hi Pete and thanks for reply, I have uprated the brakes slightly with drilled / grooved discs all round and performance pads etc. I don't intend to be driving like a tit though lol. Iv been doing a lot of reading on here lately and know clutch, fuel pump etc are a must have but like you say I know stealth would advise as necessary. I can only talk from experience when I had the cams and remap at stealth Vince and john were great, excellent workmanship and the car gave great results too. I am serious about going turbo and believe from what iv seen on here that a kit put together by specia
  8. Anyone?? After hearing so many good reviews / comments on here about vince and john at stealth about 6 months ago i had some schimmel 263's installed there and a remap. i was impressed. iv been looking into going turbo route but need the car to be as reliable as it is now. I was hoping someone out there may have had this kit installed at stealth or know of someone who has and may have some feedback???
  9. Just wondering if anyone has had this kit fitted at stealth? if so what was the outcome? Has anyone got any reviews or thoughts?? cheers..
