    hi , need some help auto gearbox is almost on but i need to know which bolts go where on the engine mount. also need to know which gearbox bolts fit where, thanks

    just need the torque settings for the spline bolts that hold the torque convertor plate to the end of the crakshaft?

    gearbox has a crack in it , after a few hours it gets stuck in one gear. sourced another gearbox and payed £400, it has the same crack plus debris in sump which turns oout to be clutch plate. very stuck on what to do

    check the wiring for broken or bad connections, any debris in the sump or excessive metal on the magnet

    i got the cv joint off and greased everything up with the new boot in place. went to put the cv joint backon and it fell apart with all the balls and centre bits. how does it goe back together as i have put it together 3 or 4 times and it was solid each time? please please help i have spent a whole day on this instead of timing chains!

    just thinking i still have the original bbs wheels that are quite tatty , i might referbish them and do calipers to go together. wheels white calipers black ?

    you cant access the three bolts from the starter motor hole. basically theres a plate that the torque convertor attaches to, the three bolts that hold it to the plate are on the engine side of this plate. turn the engine over using a 27mm socket on the camshaft to reveal all three bolts.

    thats what i dream my car was like! when removing sill skirts are there any fittings that have to be taken off and holes to be filled ? looks neat , the ones on mine just age the car in my opinion

    looking into the idea of getting a welder for myself as it has to be one on the most usefull skills, the kind of jobs i would want to do are wheel arches, sills and floor panels. im not experienced but am learning atm from people who have experience. whats best tig or mig and any advice ?

    i bought mine from euro car parts and they were reasonable

    i posted about this a while ago i just needed to be sure that i can use the obd2 upper tensioner and upper bolt with my obd1 set up as in the picture. can any one vertify this as im ordering a whole bunch of parts in one.

    richievr when removing the plastic arches did you get it re sprayed or does it clean up ok ?

    i might remove the barrel, try to get a second hand one

    put key in, turn it once - no dashboard lights just radio. turn it again- dashboard lights and radio. then wont turn any further
