    ok, it doesnt turn the engine over atall and i dont hear anything click

    tryed jump starting nothing happens , tryed two batterys, how do i test the starter solenoid ?

    it turns so the dashboard lights come one and the radio turns on then turns a tiny bit further and the radio cuts out but nothing else happens

    hi guys its no the vr but thought someone might help me , as title says my Renault 5 wont start , i turn the key and the ignition comes on but i cant turn it any further. btw it has had a new battery.

    sound, im not doing it right know it will need funds as im a poor welder but will take some pics when its done and will use the hadrian panels. also thinking of removing the plastic arches

    i wouldnt be able to strip it would i ? there is nowhere on guernsey that can strip it. i need a proper weld without damaged internals but then again it would be refurbed so ...

    yeah its not worth it in the long run. is it just jam packed in there or ? might get one to take apart one day but yeah ill aim to get it sent away. what do you think on welding the crack up permenent fix ?

    i was getting 22 mpg in guernsey sometimes 25mpg but its stop and start all the time and not sure how accurate the reading is

    yeah im going to send it off asap, but are the bits to small to tell as i accidently snapped the larger bit in two ? any suggestion on where to send it to ? and yeah im going to carry on sorting the other bits out so when its ready to be put back together i dont have to worry about doint it again

    yeah, if i tested this one incase its not one of the clutch bands will i do any damage? i do have a long parts list before the car can go back together though

    ok, rebuild is going to be mega money anyway id be able to rebuild it my self, what specialized tools would i need ?

    ahh not good, what are the clutch bands ?

    ok im not an experienced welder so might have to get a professional to do it and cut up one gearbox ,untill i know what the debris is a cant make a start because i dont know which box to use. first box has a crack and was getting stuck in one gear after a few hours, id turn it off then on and it would be ok for 10 mins then happen again. second box has debris and a crack...

    its not metalic, its relativly hard but brittle fibre material about 1mm thick and breaks under pressure of a pencil point. what should i do as a new casing is £600 and the parts inside might need replacing. the gearbox is very rare though and cant be referbed as its cracked
