  1. ive got two, ones just a block with crank and pistons, could benefit with a rebuild. Other one comes with sump and pickup e.t.c and in the same condition. I can get pics of both for you. Yeah im sure I could find a pallet to strap it to!
  2. I have one, but if your in germany it could be an issue!?
  3. Thanks, I'm just collecting parts at the moment, got a complete 4motion setup, gearbox, props, rear diff and 4 driveshafts, and he threw in the old subframe and trailing arms, see if i can make something of them. I also got a syncro setup off a passat, which i shall be selling really, as I want the 4mo drivetrain, better power handling e.t.c. got to make a jig up to hold the haldex diff in the syncro subframe, tempted by the dutchbuild stuff, as their weld on jig is not too bad and is a lot better then what I could make! What subframe did you get? I got one off a old 2.8 passat, but thats mo
  4. I can vouch for stealth racing, vince knows what he's doing. Did you get the engine hot tanked when you had it bored out and machined?
  5. Hmm yeah, i think just the atp one is very short, allowing more room. just means you have to use a short runner intake.
  6. yeah i'd just change the exhaust, would be easier
  7. I'm unsure of them manifolds, especially at that price, and always thought it must be tight with the turbo being mounted in line with the manifold. I know ATP do good quality turbo manifolds that mount the turbo below the manifold.
  8. Or MSD coil pack it for something different.
  9. Ah ok thanks for the info, still some shopping to do then!
  10. the guy with long hair looks like richard hammond on smack. Ace car though!
  11. do you know where the sounds coming from? to the left or right of the engine?
  12. Hi guys, quick question, if im putting 02m gearbox in my 12v block, do i need a 12v flywheel and clutch? or a 24v one? or are they the same? thanks
  13. Do you mean like this: Its called security torx, can get them easily enough. As Bungy said though make sure you can fill it up before you drain it!
  14. Yep, keeps the heat where it should be, and also lets the manifold cool down slower, otherwise it can crack if it keeps getting hot and cold quickly.
  15. vw i think sell them, cant be much, or tps or gsf. Id start at either tps ow vw first.
  16. Oh one more thing, make sure you can undo the top filler plug before you drain it, becuase if it siezes you will have an empty gearbox with no way of filling it!
  17. Might be worth putting a gearbox flush in there before you put the new oil in, get all the old crud out of the gears.
  18. Yeah same here.. my resolution is to actually make a show this year.. hopefully weather might back me up as well
  19. I'd start by replacing the oil, might help things. As for the actual problem, im not sure, hopefully someone will be along soon..
  20. Happy new year Guys and Gals, I hope all goes well for you and your VR throughout the year!! :)
