If your confident in doing a headgasket, i would say chains is doable. As lukey said, these engines are pretty straight forward, and quite forgiving (even for me!) Theres a guide on here for club members as well with good ibfo kn doing chains Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 -

I would say it would be easuer to remove the druveshaft from the hub (and hub from assembly if need be) and reattach it to the gearbox. Otherwise you'll be faffing about all over the place. Good progress though, hopefully this will be the last if the issues! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 -

If you jump it and let it charge, does it not start again? Try a multimeter across the battery and alternator. But the thing with yiur lights might be a grounding issue Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 -

Those options are really just about how they fit onto the pipes, and then what size AR you want. .82 AR is a common choice for a VR

As said its a bit of a faff, modding them to suit the vr6, and making a bracket to mount them on e.t.c, and apparently just as prone to cracking / breaking. Look good though

Hmm hard to say, may be worth looking into slimline fans, i believe they fit better. Also if the engine rocks at all when your moving it could damage the motor / throttle body more.
