  1. hi guys is anyone local to bromley (west wickham) in kent with a solder gun and electric wire? i need to bridge my brake warning wires as my bigger brake conversion pads dont have wear indicators and the warning light is on my dash! so i need to bridge the connection! will sort you out a drink :-) no i dont want to cut the wires up! |-)

  8. spotted this and a friend is looking at it tonight!!! :-) are they the same engine as the mk3?? they wasnt classed or badged as a VR6 are they?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-VR6-MOT-F-S-H-/221046009262?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item33775e6dae :-) thanks guys
  9. got all the interior stripped out of the car as sunroof drains were blocked, ive finally found where the last small leak is coming from, its coming from the bottom of the speakers and bottom of door card, when it pisses down only a few drops come in onto the floorpan but i want to stop this, anyone had this problem before. please see picture with arrows. it does it on both doors.
  10. may want you over mine again to fit cams when i can afford some :-) hopefully wont be as hot!
  11. 1992 OBD1 golf vr6 remus stainless steel exhaust, racelands 6 branch exhaust manifold, de-cat pipe and stealth re-map produced. had the bad idle sorted out aswell :-) - 195.6 bhp at the flywheel and 187lbs torque. :-) vince said he has never seen a european ecu on any VR6 golf, he said it wasnt a uk spec ecu. asked me if it was an import but i didnt have a clue to be honest :| next is some 283 cams, will get pics of graph and video up later :-)
  12. ordered one for my 1992 vr6 and recieved this, its totally different so whats it from later vr6 mk3 golf?? mine has just one brake pipe that screws on at the bottom of it! does the early vr6 use a different master cylinder? also i have a bleed nipple on mine.
  13. just wondering why is vag com needed, its a mare compared to bleeding my fiesta rs turbo! we pumped the brake pedal for ages and fluid only comes from the drivers side nipple!
  14. just fitted the bigger brake conversion to my golf vr6, then we came to bleeding the brakes. the drivers side bleeds fine and you get a nice flow of brake fluid. the passenger side when pumped releases no fluid from the caliper nipple. we have blown the rubber brake hose through and through the caliper, all is clear. now we tryed to bleed the ABS unit, the nipple closest to bulkhead bleeds fine, the nipple closest to the exhaust manifold no brake fluid comes out of it. so we tryed to bleed the nipple on the master cylinder and no fluid comes out of it when pumped. we have come to the conclusio

  16. no idea havent had a look to see where it goes. just an idea i think is to cut the connector off my 280mm pads and re-wire them neatly onto my 312mm pads. job done hopefully.
