    is it just a case of swapping the ignition casing over?? as my steering lock has never worked!

    I had this problem and it was the vaccum pump ion the boot, does yours buzz all the time? I have pm'd you :-)

    cool ive got the v5 logbook aswell, wouldn't they need to take this to the scrap yard?

    as title, need to get rid of my golf mk3 gti shell that's rotton, its just a shell so will need lifting onto a truck with a hi-ab or something? I have just applied for the log book. reason is I used a lot of parts for my vr6 mk3, willing to go half way with money etc???

    as title, don't recognise the front grill or splitter?

    lol two problems in one week! go to press the button for the drivers side window and it will only open two inches and close two inches and no further, I can get it to the bottom by keep pressing the switch up and down but it takes forever! any ideas? golf vr6 mk3! :-)

    ive got new top mounts thinking maybe its the bearing, its a rather noisyish squeek!

    just developed over the past few days, when the car is running on the driveway or driving it, when i turn the steering wheel left or right i get a loud(ish) creeking and squeeking sound?? ive got an idea but i just want to hear your views to what it is?? regards :$

    as title, stripped a brake line from my vr6 that is corroded and definatly wont pass the MOT like it. its about 30 cm long and bendy with 11mm unions on the end of it. drop a message to my inbox if you can do it ^o)

    you are a star! theres me typing in on ebay, mk3 golf light seal and nothing came up! should of thought of gasket! lol now being anal now! is it 8nm you torque them up to?

    hi guys, when i fitted the 6 branch to my golf vr6 two of the threads inside the head where i bolt the exhaust manifold to were threaded previously so i need to re-thread them. can anyone link me to ebay a decent helicoil kit that will do the job as there is so much out there i cant decide what is good or not? also what thread size is the vr6 exhaust studs? i take it i just screw the drill into the head and screw in a new thread??????

    as title guys! need a quick answer! reason is i wound the piston in the caliper as far back as it would go, put the brake pads in the carrier and couldnt get the caliper over the pads? so ive had to use my old pads! any ideas whats wrong? done rear pads loads of times before on my other cars! its like the pads are too thick!

    ive just done the rar wheel bearings on my golf vr6 mark 3, havent done them up too tight. ive got about half a millimeter of play, is this normal? its so minor but im just being cautious :$ wont fail an MOT will it? |-)

    my rev counter has stopped working in my golf 1992 vr6, ive tried a working rev counter in it from another set of clocks and it still wont work. ive tried another set of clocks in it with a major difference in mileage and the rev counter works fine. if there any companys from your expierience that can fix broken circuit boards?

    is £650 a good price to pay for a obd1 one manifold?
