  1. snap im having a similar problem as ive got a 280mm car! looked at some 312mm pads and the connector was a sqaure shape going into a oval shape where as the connector on my 280mm car is an oval shape. an idea i think is to cut the connector off my 280mm pads and re-wire them onto my 312mm pads. job done hopefully.
  2. no idea buddy becuase the 312mm conversion i got had the wear indicator wires cut off. i looked at some in the motor factors and the sensor connector on the pads is slightly different to mine on the car as well. my ABS light will be on all the time = MOT failure :-(

  4. i have a golf vr6 early obd1 280mm setup but switching to a 312mm conversion. im finding it hard to find the correct brake pads with the wear sensor. i think you can use 288mm pads but they dont list them with the sensor??? ive got the 312mm pads but the sensor wire is on the opposite end of the pad. i can fit them but the brake light is going to stay on all the time as the wires are cut!!

  7. i have a de-cat and racelands 6 branch manifold. its going to stealth racing soon, what is better a remap or superchip?? just want it a bit quicker as im getting bored of it now!

  9. as title, got a de-cat and 6 branch on the golf. getting a re-map in 2 weeks time at stealth racing, does it make a big power difference and feel to acceleration? :-)
  10. recieved my 312mm brake conversion vr6 vr6mike on here.. just wondering are these the hoses for the early golf VR6? mines a J -registration 1992 obd1. also these were cut on the brake pads, i know its to tell you the pads are getting low etc....

  13. got some coolant coming out of the header tank when the car is being thrashed. tried getting all the air out of the system by leaving heaters on full blow and squeezing pipes! :-) water is pumping round nicely as it flows into header tank when on idle :-) not the thermostat as it kicks in nice and both radiator pipes are hot (not one hot and one cold) :-) possible headgasket? but theres no oil in the water or visa versa! :-( ??????
  14. right i know these shouldnt get warm and im hoping this will cure my bad idling issues! its an OBD1. 167 - warm 18 - warm 109 - very warm what are these relays for??? think 167 is fuel pump? thanks guys
