    Got in about 5. No shoes and different clothes. Not pleasant today. Happy new year too all.

    I have decided on the colour for the engine bay. It's off a Mercedes sls amg and it's the le mans red. I hope it turns out well.

    I just bought the new innovate one and it's excellent. Extremely quick and fully digital. Plus the ability too add a data logger or attach it to an aftermarket ecu.

    Definitely go for the bolts as said above. I have them all around and are very good!

    Yeah unless it's had some good work done do it such as valves, springs, retainers etc.

    Usually about 6500 unless it's had head work such as larger valves and parted etc. cams will just give you a bit more higher rev power. The will probably be 268 degree ones for 4000.

    Shame about the colour. You don't actually understand how many hours have gone into that bay and it's still not perfect! But with my OCD, it would take months so just decided to stop and get the engine in.

    More painting done today. Sanding, degreased whole bay, then scotch brite, then thinner, then primered! This is how it looked after sanding was done. After two coats of high build upol primer. It's says red on the tin but looks a little pink at the minute lol!! Then it went dark. Going to flat it on Monday and then add top coat with some high gloss laquer. Stay tuned.

    Looking good! My phones decided to not work so I couldn't text you back yesterday. Get that stuff too you ASAP. Got the exhaust off so it's mostly I'm a big box. Keep up the good work!!
