  1. Not my poor engine! Haha I Cleaned all the bores when I took it apart. Less than a year ago I think.
  2. Sorry too be a buzz kill but if it's more acceleration you want ten you will have to watch gearbox and driveshafts....
  3. Cheers mate. Your engines finally there.
  4. There was a thread about this on mk2vr6 they used to make them for the mk2 defiantly. Don't make them anymore. If you don't need it may be interested?
  5. Cheers guy. Payday Friday so boost pipes shall be ordered. And finally get my coilpack of a patient member off here . It's a turbonetics turbo with external wastegate. Running near its max so see how long it lasts. Start off with 350 and slowly work it up. Next on the list is some cams. 268 I think.
  6. Got the brake master cylinder in with servo and clutch cylinder. Blanked off ports for the abs unit. Got my old coilpack on too see where I could run all the wires. Got ht leads on. Also coilpack is upside down for a much smoother look. This is where the oil cooler is going. I had too cut 2 slots in the rad support to get the lines to fit in. This picture shows intercooler but with oil cooler behind it. You would never even know it was there. This picture shows just how tight it is Painted this today. Auxiliary water pump. Matt black Looks much stealthier there.
  7. Got some more done today. Oil cooler mounted. Changed my mind though as with everything on its around 3-4 inches off the floor. There is a picture of it with the intercooler. Intercooler is staying there but oil cooler is going to be moved. Not sure where yet but I will have a play tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Here is a picture of the side where it has been smoothed. Thanks.
  8. Been busy. Polished cap Polished belt tensioner Here is my mate cutting the front slam panel. This is the second one we cut as its brand new and it's where we are mounting the intercooler. Here you can see the old one that has been cut. Here is the Bosch 044 fuel pump being mounted. Here is the front of the rad support that we had too cut off to fit intercooler More tomorrow hopefully....
  9. Honestly thought it wasn't as good as last year... Wanted too see more bonnets up, engine conversions etc. not much was amazingly incredible. Stand looked good though, all cars were immaculate bar nee naw.... Lol Liked the room on the far side that was carpeted. With the mk2's and the Porsches etc and the rallye's down the corridor were special. But overall not as good as previous years..
  10. I read somewhere that you should stay away from aftermarket crank pulleys. The rest are fine too replace and will still give a few horses. It's something to do with the wieght and balance of the original pulley and the aftermarket ones not being balanced and can end up doing a lot of damage to the engine. Then again I could be tottaly wrong but 95% sure.
  11. Try wizards of nos (won) good reliable and uk based.
  12. Yeah! Sorry mate just been mega hopeless. Will drop you a text. Still got your details so will text you when I have done it
  13. Got some more done today... Just ignore all the tools in the sides got rocker cover and gasket back on, fuel rail and injectors back on, sp manifold and elbow. Alternator back on too.
  14. Trial fitted the wings today... Removed all bump strips and cleaned underneath them Trip too Powdercoaters to pick everything up Also got rear suspension fully fitted and parcel shelf etc all fitted again, more tomorrow....
  15. Ha no, soon I hope. About a month or two. Was thinking for early edition on April 22nd.
  16. Haha yeah I am buying a spare when it's going. Nice one
  17. I would say about 1.5" under subframe... About 3"-4" off the ground. Yeah getting there slowly but no. Lol no way near. Waiting for new wheels to come into stock and for my boost pipes to be made. Having white samco boost pipes made up.
  18. Rocker cover removed today as they have even taken to the coaters. Everything's back on Wednesday. Looks pretty clean under there with minimal scoring. Good stuff.
  19. Check the mag wires again as that was a problem last time wasn't it?
  20. Haha waterslide would be entertaining. No speedos allowed.
  21. Picked these up for a good price along with a matching parcel shelf. Just needs a clean. Mk4 rear calipers Mk4 front Gti calipers with 288mm mk3 discs. There is no room under those wheels. Very close. About 2-3 mm between the calipers and the wheels weights. New coilies fitted and adjusted for now. This is how the car now sits at the minute. Not very low yet as it still need jacking up a few times and some work underneath. The exterior of the car makes me sad in this condition.
