  1. I think that you can also bleed the master cylinder? There is a bleed nipple on mine. Also, your need to bleed with the engine running so the servo works properly ;-)
  2. Well ecu should be here today! Kev, do you know if the vr needs a tacho driver? Or will it run direct off the ecu? Thanks for your help btw :-)
  3. Yep! Dusted bumper off before i took the pic, and it all stuck to the lense, thats why the pic is a bit funny :-(
  4. 400bhp would be good when tuned, anything above that would be good! Interested to see how much torque i get out of it too. Managed to finish the downpipe, and lag it today. Bung in for Innovate LC-1 wideband and the other is for an egt off a BAM engined vag car Installed the LC-1 module, fits really neatly next to expansion tank! And front ends all back on now, for good this time!!
  5. Of course ya can! Can every1 please form an orderly que behind bungy, thank you.... ;-) lol! Went shopping with a mate today an he came back with an audi s2, and i drove his tt back, awd is AWSOME! They love the corners! :-)
  6. Still waiting for my Emerald back with wiring diagram, still waiting for my seats, nearly done my downpipe, but until the ecu is back can't really do alot. The long 'to-do' list is very short now so just doing a few odd jobs, but nothing major. Just want it to run!! Grrrrr.... (i'm not the most patient person at the best of times :-) ) Thanks for the support anyway chaps! Much appreiciated :-)
  7. Wicked trip, as a few have said i'd love to go to europe on a driving holiday. But to go there in a day is definately cramming it all in! Fair play to ya both :-)
  8. That is the pipe mate, what a bummer!! I think there are kits on ebay that include thermostat housing etc?
  9. Why does mine look like this? Tracing route to vr6oc.com [85.92.86.42] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 * * * Request timed out. 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 * * * Request timed out. 4 * * * Request timed out. 5 * * * Request timed out. 6 * * * Request timed out. 7 * * * Request timed out. 8 * * * Request timed out. 9 * * * Request timed out. 10 * * * Request tim
  10. On the mk4's the aux water pump is round the front on the engine, dunno if that helps you? The ecu is off at emerald atm, being set-up for a single coilpack vr6, which should come back with a vr turbo base map on it too. Whem thats back i can start the dauting task of wiring! But in the mean time i'm gunna get on with the downpip/exhaust. I'l be picking my wheels and tyres up in november off bungy (cheers bud!), seats should be here soon, so not that much left really! Yours going ok?
  11. And ease really, just saves buying stuff that might not fit, and using what i have and making that fit!
  12. So, i've finally finished my boost pipes, and coolant pipes. Had to re-relocate the power steering fluid reservior because it got in the way of a boost pipe! The coolant pipes are all custom bar the top and bottom radiator to thermostat housing pipes. I've had to delete the aux water pump because the hose that joins it would have got in the way of the gear selectors, and so i've made 2 metal water pipes. 1 of these runs from the head to the heater matrix, and is made out of metal because its close to the exhaust downpipe. The other is because of the deleted water pump, and the lack o
  13. Yes and no really! Yes it does get in the way, BUT if you move the pins on the gear linkages inwards then you'll clear the lower hose on the housing. And you'll have to delete the aux water pump as the hose that goes between that an the housing gets in the way on the selectors. I'l post a few pics up of what i've done to get over the problem, and theres pics of the selector a few pages ago. I just wanted to try and keep things simple, and use 12v stuff through-out, with a few custom hoses/pipes along the way!
  14. sounds like the plug for the coilpack
  15. If your working under your car anyway-to get sump off, then tackle the cooler from there. Drain oil like your going to do. Take off the 2 coolant hoses that go into the cooler, rather then off of the crack pipe as there very fragile! Then un-do the big nut on the end on the cooler 'cap' then it should come off. You don't have to take off the coolant lines but it makes it easier as you can put seals on the cooler infront of you, if you know what i mean! ;-)
  16. When was the last time it was serviced? A bit of fresh oil can shut the lifters up
  17. Yes its coilpack, and had a look today-didn't realise that cover came off!! And your defo right about jkm, left a msg monday, still no reply. Been email emerald and they are SO helpful, it just makes life so much easier :-)
  18. Andy from A K Bodycraft sells a haldex controller that mounts in the car, but is similar in control to that of the sqs. You can adjust the valve in car, which is hooked up to a block that bolts on the side of the haldex via 2 hoses. You will just have to run your own power to the pump.
  19. Cheers kev, some usefull info there. I think my coil has different colours to that? Is there anyway of checking which wire fires what? My prolem is that i look at wiring and see it as a daunting task! So many wires, and not wanting to blow anything up is always at the back of my mind!! Getting the ecu off to be sorted on saterday, when its back let the wiring comense!
  20. Yeah cuts the throttle, try with it on round a corner, then off and you can feel the difference in throttle response, a mate does it in his tt
  21. And if you wired in an on/off switch to the haldex pump you can switch it off in car, so run whatever split you want, or fwd
  22. Sorry to hear bout the break-in, never a nice thing to happen to someone. Have a look on the bay of plenty, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-MK3-INDICATOR-WIPER-HAZARD-MFA-STALKS-SWITCH_W0QQitemZ290347021207QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item439a07f397&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
