  1. I'd go careful though, they have been known to have poor customer support, not answer your calls etc, parts not turn up. I've used them and they were fine, but i know someone who has had the problems.
  2. Yeah just plated it over, then fillered it. And will get the car blown over next year when i can afford it! Its just got paint and filler on it to stop it rusting! And cheers bungy, they do look good with those beefy brakes behind them.
  3. Well the middle silencer is quite close, but not too bad. Its a 3" system all the way, mid and rear silncers are both straight through. Its the only picture i've got of the new wheels atm, and my poor attempt at fillering on the old fuel flap.
  4. Sorry for the very long delay on updating my thread, but work and the time of year have taken priority lately. Wheels are on and are looking spot on! I've made my de-cat, cat, middle section, and rear of my exhaust. It runs along side the prop, over the anti rollbar, then under the driveshaft. This way the whole exhaust will come off in 1, if the anti rollbar is dropped.
  5. what gauge is 40mm2???????? Its the correct way of sizing cable mate, cable suppliers will understand that figure, rather then i.e 12mm
  6. I've done this in my thread, i think the cable is 40mm2 and i got it from this place http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/home/homepage.php They sell it by 1m lengths, and i've never had any problems with postage etc.
  7. Shouldn't cause any issues, as long as its completely removed, pump, ecu, wiring loom, sensors, the lot!
  8. Anywhere mate, your local car parts place will do, a filter is a filter, no difference in quailty realy, just the price!
  9. How come you replaced the sx fuel reg with a standard 1? Great car btw!
  10. Thats far too many sets of wheels mate, you planning on hitting a few pots holes??! Looking good though, coming along nicely! :-)
  11. Welcome to the site matey! Your cars sounds wicked, i bet your well pleased with the results. Do you have any pictures of the build?
  12. No its a cutsom cage as they don't make 1 for the s2. Thought the custom cages were about 6/700? If you got a weld in and welded it yourself that is.
  13. I'm out of it all day today, having lunch with mother, gotta do a b&q trip later, and tomorrow i have the joy of work in the morning, so probably won't actually get anything done till sunday afternoon! Pants :-) Little update; picked wheels and tyres up off of bungy tuesday (probably the worst day to pick regarding the major traffic caos that was southampton!), and had the tyres fitted, so they can go on and i might actually be able to take it up the road! :-) Happy days!! I've been meaning to get some pics up for a while now, so i'l make an effort tomorrow to get snapping!
  14. They're not vac lines, just breathers mate, just tuck them up out of the way in the subframe somewhere, should be ok, thats all i've done with mine!
  15. They are wicked wheels mate, really go wel on black cars. A mate has them on his tt which is black, and they look the nuts!
  16. Not digging the 'bat wing' style boot/body seem, and that light is proper mental! He must like horses a bit too...
  17. If its only at cold then thats fine, all the vr's sound bit tapet until they've warmed up. Could try giving it a service, fresh oil sometimes helps the tappets. Oh, and welcome along to the club! :-) There is loads of good advice in the premium members section, why not sign up?
  18. No you can't run the syncro tank because the boot floor won't be high enough, but the tunnel is fine to run a prop and exhaust. I only cut the spare wheel well out because i wanted it all custom and didn't want to try and source a syncro boot floor and cross brace. I found it easier and cheaper to do it my way, as i'd done the syncro conversion on a mates mk2 a while back. Hope that helps!
  19. Been having a few issues, apart from having a serious dose of the flu, my laptop and my ecu just won't connect. I've bought 2 different types of rs-232 to usb converters, used 3 different drivers on each and still nothing! Really getting on my tits now :-( Anyone got any advise, please???
  20. Nice one mate, your flying along! Your inlet manifold looks the part, is there a chargercooler in there??? :-)
  21. Hey, hey, theres nothing pikey on this build thread mate!
  22. Thanks for the replies. Been studying the emerald settings, and found the injector re-scaling. This should sort out the over fueling by adjusting the whole injector map according to the type of injector i'm using. You're right jim, there is a big difference! Just had a play and it adjusted the whole map down by a third after the re-scaling!! Mental! I think it did muller my plugs, so i've got some NGK BRK7E to go in sunday.
