    You can get the door card off with the door shut, it's just akward, firstly remove the door pin by unscrewing it. Then remove the mirror back and the door handle has a removable cover, behind that are 2 screws iirc. Then it should just be a case of popping it out. It is just clipped in round the edges. I hope that helps.

    Sounds AWESOME to me! Well up for that! Maybe a cruise somewhere, meal, drinks n a cheap hotel then chilled convoy home the next morning? If just a day I'm still up for doing something.

    I would say the same. Dealers prices for wheels are extortionate normally. You can always try a scrappy (google Volks apart) or look out on eBay.

    The OBD1 are the same as a mk2 and the OBD2s are different, one has a larger spline than the other

    The main advice i would give is to keep on top of servicing. I do a full one once a year before summer and a simple oil and filter change before winter, it never goes more than 5k without a service. Rust is a bugger, but any early signs get sorted sooner rather than later as once its started it will only get worse. You can always have a read through the buyers guide i did. Its got some good things to have a look for but they are usually great, reliable cars when looked after.

    yeah as above, only drive to a pre booked appointment so if they ring to check you are booked in then they cannot do anything. if you are just driving around they will do you for it.

    have you double checked they're all done up right? Mine started creeking after a few days and turned out one of the bolts was a tad lose, just tightened it and been ok since.
