    the M5 Bmw was a good read That made me feel sick, i read the whole thread of a 19year old asking about how to make the gear changes smoother and talking of doing 150, then a few days later theres a link to a news story where he had crashed and died, turns out it was his dads m5 and he died along with 4 friends. Crazy letting a 19 year old behind the wheel of something like that!!

    also if it is not that then check the switch under the handbrake itself, you can clean it with a bit of contact cleaner or it may need replacing.

    it might be the belt tensioner pulley, its a ten min job to swap over, just slacken the belt off n give it a spin first to make sure it is that.

    No there is no difference. The OBD2s usually put out around 185BHP and ones that have just an exhaust and air filter have put out anything up to 197BHP... the better maintained they are over the years, the better they hold their power.

    try http://www.eurowagens.com/en/vw/golf-3-vento/body-parts.html they have gti ones listed so might be able to get vr6 ones if there is a difference. I use their deep chin splitters and they are great but have no personal experience of these arches... worth a look though.
