Right, Im getting some new headlights but have no idea what to get. My VR currently has the twin headlight casing, well...it has the right one, the left one got smashed in a bump that I had So my poor car is looking a bit battered at the moment. Not sure whether to keep the twin headlights or to get the smoked MK4 style lights. I want something that looks mean and slightly stealthy looking, I love the twin headlights but it puts me off that ive seen some really chavvy escorts and corsas with the same look. Opinions?

Yeah same for me. I use mine everyday to get to work, which is about an 11 mile drive there and back, mostly traffic but with a few open dual carraigeways thrown in! Im lucky if I get 18mpg on the way to work, and I usually put about £40 a week in the petrol tank. I do think sometimes that I would be so much better off financially if I didnt have the VR, comparing everything to my friends who drive little 1.4 clio's - they pay £50 a month insurance and £30 of petrol lasts 2 weeks...when I pay £120 a month insurance and £150+ on petrol, but then I ask myself, would I really swap my VR for

My snakebite piercings have been postponed until the 19th December One of my bosses at work is being a complete douche bag about it. He said he didnt want me wearing the metal studs at work, and if I went ahead and did it, he doesnt want me in the office until I could take them out!! So got to get it done over the chrismas holidays and then get my piercer to change it to a retainer after a couple of weeks.

Hmm, well I did what Nat suggested and checked the revs in 4th gear and all is fine. It had a brand new clutch kit fitted back in May this year aswell. Ill do some more tests with it lol.

Before I start, I know I should get it on vag-com BUT I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this, or whether its me being a bit paranoid. On my journey to work, there are a couple of dual carraigeways which are always free from traffic Ive noticed that going from 2nd gear into 3rd, it doesnt seem very responsive. 2nd gear still gives some, but particularly 3rd gear is just a bit...well, rubbish really. I will put my foot down, the revs go up but the car picks up the speed slower than usual. Just seems sluggish in general. It is due for a service so Im hoping that might help. Iv

*-) Was watching a programme ealier about Black Mambas so yes they definately hurt and can be deadly Lol Ha-de-ha I am actually quite excited now, but I bet when Im sitting in that chair waiting ill be on the verge of crying! There's not many good piercing places in Crawley, there are a few good ones in Brighton. After this one though - definitley my first tattoo. Im a bit of a virgin when it comes to all this. Ive heard that piercers dont tend to numb the tongue because apparently it can block your airway if its too numb??

When you say tunnel do you mean plugs? I went up to a 2mm lol and I couldnt go any further. I hated the feeling of it. I might give it another go though :-P

Get snakebites then if you dont like both of them in, just keep the one and get a ring instead of a bar.

Do snakebites hurt? I know it depends on the person but that is what really gets me shakin' lol. Apparently nose piercings are meant to hurt more than the tongue...when I got my nose done a few years back, it didnt hurt at all. Although it was with a gun and not with a needle, which I hear is a more common way to do certain piercings now.

I think snakebites look good, little ones though. Would love to get nipples done but im too much of a wimp! And tongue aswell, thats another one I would love to get done. I will one day lol.

I really wanna go and get something else peirced now after reading all this! Arent nipples meant to be the most painful place to peirce, for a woman espeically?

I love scaffold peircings! I think I need a few more though for it to look right! Only got my nose and 2 in each ear. Want a surface peircing on the back of my neck done but my long hair is kinda putting me off having it done! Would love my lip done but because I work in an office and have to look professional, I know they would get funny about it

VR with receipts! I dont even have the number of the person I brought it off anymore, its had a new engine since then anyway. Ive seen books on ebay for like £40!! VW wouldnt be as much as that surely??

This might sound like a stupid question, but where can I get a new service history book from? When I brought my first VR a year ago, it didnt have a hsitory book - just receipts. Its been serviced since and worked on at a friends garage so I havnt really got much proof on paper of stuff that's been done. Its due for a service soon and I want to start logging it properly. Ive looked online and prices seem pretty high for just a blank book!

£300 is a good price. When I had mine done, I paid £800 in total, which included the price of the new engine, new clutch and labour. And my mechanic charges £37 an hour, took him a day from when the new engine arrived.

There is a blue corsa and a red fiesta that drives round crawley all chavved up, and the infamous yellow nova! Pearsy and Calico MUST have seen that if you're both from Crawley lol.
