No probs fella, few guys on here now gonna be running haldex FYI I used a drivers side shaft from a 130 TDI mk4 and shortened it by 50mm, thought it a better way than extending the 4mo shaft and having two welds but then i have built mine for FWD at the minute. Thought I would mention it in case you end up FWD too.

Wont work buddy. Subframe is different width and everything. Shortening drivers side shaft is not an issue anyhow, passenger side is direct fit. If you use the VR6 02A box you wont need to change anything.

Worst in the world at keeping an up to date build thread! Ayhow, nearly done now, all boost pipes made, driveshafts sorted, wiring done....just turbo oil return and coolant hoses to sort then after an ECU flash shes ready to fire before I make a start on the Haldex... Have a load more photos but having a few iPhail's of late regards Photobucket and Apps and stuff.

Know you said it was plastic on metal kind of noise but check all your subframe bolts too, including the ones through the front wishbone bushes -

Small world man! Few VR's about but not that many. VW thing in general has grown massively over here in the past 3-4 years but is now starting to be overrun by the felt spec brigade if you're aware of who they are lol
