Is there no way it an be listed as topics replied to, rather than all the individual posts? I think that is partly the problem, there's too much to fit on, especially when viewing from mobile web.
I sell farm machinery, namely new John Deere tractors etc. I also have a workshop which I work in part time (supposedly) where I do regular servicing, bit of tuning (mainly VR6 orientated) and fitting air suspension kits etc....Serving the local young modders lol
It's mostly from iPhone Pete using this link which appears in the address bar at the top from my browsing history. The link i use is here - http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum.php?new I prefer to do it that way because it comes up like this Otherwise if I use the what's new option on the home page it comes up like this which I find more awkward to read, although it does show all new posts
I'm 33 tomorrow, had my VR6 for 8 years, was my first one but always hankered for one since I was 16. It has been through several different guises and I've had other ones through my hands in addition to and between times since
I can put you in touch with some friends I have down there if you like? Also, if you're around there on the 7th April be sure and take a spin up to Belfast for Dubshed
Yes new slave cylinder... in fact the whole box has been rebuilt with all new shims etc and built by VW technician who has the specialist transmission qualifications. I would have agreed with you on Helix setup but that Rotrex one I referred to plus another friend with a 3.6T had issues too so that put me right off. Saying that I had a 4 paddle helix in the 12v setup and it was great. I have something else to try first before anything else as recommended by very knowledgeable and experienced tuner from around these parts...
Yeah I think you're right Craig, that's what I would go for as there seems to be next to no negative reports regarding them. So does anyone know or have heard or seen anything about shimming the slave cylinder?
Biting point is quite high and yea only when boost comes in. Need o try control the boost a bit better first to try get a better idea of what's going on.
Got run in period completed yesterday on my new built BDE 24v turbo engine and gave it a little boost but am suffering some severe clutch slip when the boost really comes in. I'm using a Spec stage 3+ clutch and aluminium flywheel with an 02M DRP 'box and AEM tru boost to control the boost pressure. Software wise I'm a using United Motorsport 870cc ProMaf file. After doing some Googling for similar problems in other setups I see The Phirm worked at Kieran's Rotrex R32 and seemed to have similar issues? These issues seem to have been resolved by use of shims somewhere? Possibly behind slave cyl
