  1. Yes me. Will let you know how it goes when it's back on te road in a week or two
  2. I wish I had have done that dogbone mount before I gt subframe powder coated Doh! Might still do that, makes sense... Nice work Kristian. Any videos of your 800whp friend yet?!
  3. Yup, mine should have one in it by the end of this week. If you can get the loom made up and get a downpipe sorted from UM it's not that hard to do. Gets more complicated when you use the 02M 6 speed box and add some boost lol
  4. Either patience or no sense Gareth! Lol Not much to update. Painted block last night, nice and shiny I used gloss black engine enamel I bought off eBay, seems to be a fair bit glossier than the hammerite I used on the previous engine. Was going to assemble the short engine last night but the engine shop has lost one of the oil spray jets. :( Also stripped down wishbones, subframe and front crossmember for powder coating and polybushing when I get them back. Off to Canavans today for the powdercoating
  5. So, been a busy week or two... Engine bay finished and painted, engine back from machine shop. Next job is to remove the child's suspension ( ) and put the replacement Koni coilovers in then remove subframe and wishbones, strip out bushes and send up to Canavans for powder coating. After that then will be to re-pipe the braking system minus the ABS. Just waiting for gearbox rebuid and diff install to be finished, exhaust manifold, injectors and Promaf to be sent over then get everything mounted up and get fabricating boost pipes, coolant pipes and downpipe. Some pics of recent progress... So
  6. When did you last change your oil?
  7. Except the European Syncro
  8. All OBD1 VR engines ran 4 bar Kev which is why all Corrados have them. I guess it was maybe to do with the factory software or something but im sure Matt would be able to confirm that. Also, anywhere to 6psi or so seems to be fine on standard injectors. Stage 1 with a Vortech charger helps produce 250hp or so, that software uses factory injectors.
  9. If your engine is properly tuned all you will achieve is overfuelling which is a bit pointless really
  10. I ended up with a butchered OE swirl pot and an HRC pump inside it. Wasn't ideal though as I couldnt really run with less tan 1/4 tank of fuel. Have gone for an 034 Motorsport FP34 surge tank this time round although in hindsight I think I should have gone for the Integrated Engineering dual pump surge tank instead to eliminate any potential fuel starvation issues when I turn the boost up down the line.
  11. This is just a stock VW part that they sell for double what VW do Haha! That actually doesn't surprise me with that crowd!
  12. Yes indeed Aaron! How you keeping? How are those mad projects of yours coming along?!
  13. Been a while since I updated this. Funds and time have been on the down-low lol. Hope to have this up and running by the start of next month. Off to engine shop today
  14. ^^ This! Did you get an OBD port to install yet?
  15. Progress at least! Have you sorted the wiring to the inline pump?
  16. Mk3's have them also! If you're stuck I might have one here for you, just need to check.
  17. Yeah as Jim says, you seriously need an OBD port. You can't run a VR6T without being able to use vagcom, too much of a guessing game other wise!
  18. So you have spark and fuel but still won't fire? I had this problem once and despite the usual suggestions of faulty crank sensor it turned out to be a chip had come loose from the board in the ecu. I presume your crank sensor is plugged in ok? Have you had it on Vagcom to see if there are any faults?
