Hi all, got a little problem with exhaust, the flexi on downpipe has a small split, had a price from dealers for replacement at £314 + vat :-( just for downpipe! Been looking on eBay and come across a downpipe off a v6 bora which looks the same as mine. Any of you guys no if this item will fit? My cars on an x plate not sure about the bora. Also would an r32 downpipe fit? Coz there is a nice stainless item for sale on there reasonably priced. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I've had my golf 4motion for about a week now and loving it, the cars developed a little exhaust leak which is coming from the manifold area on bulkhead side, had the car up on ramps but can't see naff all because of all components in the way it's really tucked away! I'm "ok"with a spanner but this looks a bit like a garage job to me if I'm honest about my mechanical skills. The leak is only little but it's bugging me because I no it's there and I like everything to be mint. You can only really hear it when it's ticking over, under acceleration it's not noticeable. My question is, is

Hi all, new to this site, I've been a petrol head all my life owning various quick cars, my latest purchase is a rather nice 4motion 3door on an x plate which I like a lot. Power is not mind blowing but it's not bad either and it's on coil overs so handles ok. Can you guys fill me in on some standard stuff? Like how much engine oil and what oil? Cars done 67k, also the gearbox and rear diff oil. Learning all the time I've never heard of a haldex until I bought the car! I will be changing all the fluids at some point this week.
