  1. An OBD2 ECU will NOT run with an OBD1 wiring loom. It doesnt matter if we remove the immobilizer from your OBD2 ECU, plugging it in to an OBD1 Loom wont work. If an OBD2 engine has been fitted to your OBD1 car, and been fitted correctly, there should be NO running issues.
  2. If that engine is from a MK5 Golf it is NOT FSI. FSI is on the newer Passat 3.2/6. You will need a MK4 R32 or 4Motion alternator etc bracket, so that you can fit PAS.
  3. Plug It in to VAG-COM, That will tell you the ECU part number.
  4. Compressor surge Craig, You want to get rid of that! As Kev says, it'll shorten the life of your turbo.
  5. I have and I am involved with ALOT of 4/5/600hp VR6 Turbo cars, both 2 and 4wd. My mate has a 450hp EVO. A FWD 450hp VR6T power MK2 Golf gets around tracks faster than the EVO does. The guy that owns the EVO Knows this and love the fact, but he loves the Jap stuff to much to move. The moral - Each to there own. Currently I am involved in a high horse power EVO build, and the cost is rediculus. VAG people like VAG cars EVO people like EVO's, End off
  6. Im not setting this up. Tony is just a dealer for us in the KENT area,NO OTHER. Im trying my hardest to sort your clutch out mate, but as discussed by mail, it is out of my hands.

  8. You also need to have the upper timing chain case skimmed by the same ammount as the head.
  9. Thats a rare sight - Rover K-series with water in the oil!
  10. Haha Both parties are right here The oxygen sensor isnt NEEDED to make your car run. If the sensor is sufficiently damaged that the information that it is giving to the ECU is massively incorrect, then inplug it, and the ECU will do the rest. Having said that, the ECU should negate what it is seeing anyway However, on the later cars the oygen sensor is an important part to getting the car to run SPOT ON. Also an oxygen sensor doesnt sence how much oxygen the engine is consuming. It measures oxygen content of the exhaust gas, which in turn the ECU uses to work out fuel injection calculations.
  11. My lawyer is 2nd to NONE, but he wouldn't take a case like this where you have already admited the offence. Even if you didnt admit it, the evidence is stacked against you. If you did it, take whats coming to you, dont try and wriggle out of it. Even if there is a technicality, you were still doing 97mph on a road that is normally limited to 70mph, thats still speeding! Speeding is normally heard in the majestrates court, with no leverage from you to be able to elevate it to the crown. If you stand up in majestrates and plead not guilty, and they find you guilty (which they will) You will get
  12. You need to think seriously about this. Ask your self how much money you will have to earn a month/week/day before you can even afford to eat, Public liability insurance is a MUST. Working for your self isnt as easy as the sucessful people make it look.
  13. No, My license is clean and always has been I dont take kindly to being accused of offences I didn't commit
  14. http://www.3paper.co.uk/ This is the legal practise that I use! Best thing you can do is send the letter back admitting the offence.
  15. Not available brand new seperately from the cylinder.
  16. The difference between the 3.6 and the R32 is very noticable. The 3.6 has torque very low down the revs and it just continues until the limiter. The MK4 we did the software development on made 288whp at all 4 wheels.
  17. £59.20+VAT from the main dealer for the tripple layer 12v VR6 headgasket.
