  1. Just use the standard tripple layer metal head gasket, you dont need any more uprated than that
  2. Replacing the exhaust system with a nce shiney stainless one doesnt remove the need for a CAT. If the engine in the car is the one that belongs in there, then it will fail the MOT with no CAT.
  3. The cams are MASSIVELY different as are the inlet and exhaust manifolds and of course the software is different. Also that 'Raceland' manifold will not fit a Caravelle.
  4. Can be sorted on both cars with no extra electronics needed
  5. Im 33, Your wife will get over it - Mine did!
  6. Sounds like a wiring problem on that njector - Check the big black multi plug on the back of the engine.
  7. Looks like some aftermarket alarm/immobilizer
  8. The 24v head doesnt fit on a 12v block.
  9. You will more than liley need more than the immo turning off. When doing engine conversions, there are some systems deletes that could be required. Some of these systems are: Secondary Air Injection Post cat. Lambda probes We can do the Immo defeat and any other systems delete for £100. One of ours guys has a R32 in a MK2 Golf, it runs perfect with NO fault codes.
  10. Use the clutch and flywheel that belongs to the gearbox.
  11. I am interested in who did the software for your car?
  12. Reasons for excessive crank pressure are: You are pressurising the crank case with boost from the supercharger. ie the breather is piped to the pipe from the SC to the throttle body Blocked breather: Self explanitory really - The breather path is blocked. Worn piston rings: This will let cylinder pressure "blow" passed the rings into the crank case causing excessive pressure. There are other reasons but they will all happen due to poor tuning, and you will have a noticable misfire.
  13. 256 is OBD2 258 XX is OBD1 Non interchangable!
  14. The 24v engines are also more efficient.
  15. Dont know, as its an aftermarket system, it could be anywhere.
