  1. Price seems fair to me these builds sure do add up quickly and you have some tasty parts there. Would you consider splitting the lot into engine, charger setup, gearbox, ecu etc... I think you will have more luck selling quickly not a lot of people have £5.5k laying about these days.
  2. Engine finally in [emoji3] Mounted turbo manifold just to test the fit. Still need to bolt the driveshafts up but could not resist a look [emoji12].
  3. Sweeeeeeeet [emoji12] bet your exited to get that bad boy fitted.
  4. More updates keeping this thread fresh. Parts came to upgrade my breaking system to all stainless steel. Now I have flexible stainless back to the master cylinder. Had to ditch the standard brake split to send a single line back to the rear I can control the power with a brake bias valve. Parts came for power steering Made new line for low pressure side
  5. Thanks it is a tasty bit of kit and the weight difference compared to the standard dual mass is unbelievable.
  6. Clutch came today so I can now mate the engine and gearbox together, happy days Went for Don Octane's flywheel and Sachs RCS200 twin plate clutch good for 1200nm. The flywheel is super light I think the whole assembly weighs less than the standard clutch pressure and friction plate.
  7. Started the big swap yesterday. Firstly I jacked the car up and dropped the oil. Drained the radiator and pulled the front end off. I was not sure the best way to remove the driveshafts but a quick look from underneath revealed that from above would be much easier, so off with the manifolds it was. I then decided to remove all the wires I don't need simply leaving the horns, headlight, reverse sensor and starter wire as I have made a full custom loom for the engine. Next I jacked the back of the car up to remove the full exhaust system. After a couple of hours the engine was finally out.
  8. I'm building a 3.2 that is bored and being built for serious boost if you want to check it out in the 'Members rides' section. As for cost, take it from me it costs a fortune [emoji6]
  9. No I did not make a thread for it. There was a bloke called Jim on here that built one for £1000 and he made a full thread about it.
  10. Fantastic work so far, keep up the good work.
  11. Count me in for this and a Nurburgring trip next year sounds good too
  12. I would guess they are 320cc injectors or something similar as most injectors are rated at 3bar so the increase in pressure would account for the 74cc increase in flow.
  13. Thanks VR6CABBS I needed to mount it in a good location so gravity would push the fuel down to the belt pump to avoid cavitation.
  14. My first VRT cost me only £3000 and that was including high quality components like Garrett GT3582r and Tial 38mm wastgate. I have ran stock engine at 576bhp for many years no problem it is the standard gearbox that will limit you to 400 ponies.
  15. Just got some pictures of my fuel swirl pot that will be used to feed my belt driven Aeromotive pump. It will be fitted in the hole that used to be occupied by the standard fan intake. P-motorsports alloy fabrication is second to none, just look at those welds[emoji851]
  16. Love the vortex kit. Always wanted one on my mk3.
  17. I'm in [emoji106]? as soon as numbers are confirmed I will start paying in.
  18. Turbo all the way. A supercharger will feel like standard but the clock will spin round much quicker. A turbo will make the car feel like a completely different animal.
  19. I would love to go to this. Have you looked into cost? Maybe if everyone is paid up by end of August/ beginning of September then people are much less likely to drop out.
  20. Picked up my gearbox from powdercoat today. Not entirely happy with the finish but looks a lot better than it did before. Undecided if I should send it back or leave it as it is.
  21. Fitted new steering wheel today the old one has done 115,000 miles and is looking rather tired. Removed air bag. What a nightmare to get out, in the end I had to resort to google. OMP 350mm suede WRC with mid dish. Initial reports are feels strange being slightly smaller than standard but the suede is much nicer to touch than the worn polished leather.
  22. Made mini looms for injectors and COP's Made using Raychem tefzel wire and DR25 heat shrink. Not the best job ever but it was a learning curve anyways. As long as it works for now I can always spend time later tidying bits up I'm not happy with.
  23. So more shiny bits arrived today. Chisled Performance Ice/water tank for my chargecooler setup with internal 2000gph pump. Apparently its good for 2000 bhp so should work well for me.
