  1. Hi all. This is too all you turbo/charged owners. I am in the process of smoothing my engine bay. I am relocting the wiring looms thought the chassie legs. And my battery and washerbottle are getting relocated to the boot. I want to pannle my N/S (where my battrey was) so the pannle will come from the top flich (where the wing bolts on) to the chassie leg, So you will no longer have a big gap where you can see the inside of the wing/ wheel. I am planning to run a charge cooler from schimmel and im wondering if there enuff space to fit it after this pannle has been added, I.e does the

  3. Vrmonster!!!! is your MK3 turbo'ed???? If so could you anser me a question please. Im smoothing the engine bay as well, I want to pannel right and left sides buy the wings but if i was to have a supercharger i would need all the space on the O/S (where the airbox normal goes under the wing!!) If I where to turbo my car would there be anywhere in the engine bay i should leave unpannled for pipe work ect.
  4. Thats what i like to hear : ). Yep fogs are going. I haven't had one person say keep them yet so... would keep them tho if somone says they like it lol, still unsure. Bulbs and lamps will be piss to change from inside. Cheers for your comment

  9. Hi very intresting. Im enjoying learning about all this indeapth stuff. Im understanding alot of it but surtain words confuse me. Dont surpose you could explane what is ment buy "det" in "Mon Aug 06 2007, 07:00PM" Post "Is it normal for boosted VRs to see a tinny tinny bit of det at around peak rpm??"   10. Haven't seen these mentioned atall "Pipercross velocity air intakes" They take the air from outside the engine bay but with the filter at the end of it. Probaly sounds quite evil aswell.   11. when you say all the power stearing pumps is the same is that for every different engine size???? I put a new refubed one that cost £80 and it was only on for about a week before i crashed my car. Looks the same as my VR pump and i carnt see there been anypoint in been different . Its up for sale if you want it!!!!!
  12. Theres a drain fill plug half way up the box. Its a 17 mm sump bolt. Fill untill it starts to dribble out!! You couldn't see the hole on my box from the outside. It was inside the bell housing. Once you've filled it up. Put it on axal stands so the front wheels are off the ground (hand brake on) and start it up, put it in gear so the wheels are spinning. Then go and have a look how fast the oils coming out. And wheres its coming from. It it is coming from where the gearbox conects to the engine then the next thing to do is remove the box
  13. Fit mk4 washer jets and smooth the holes off. They fit just undermeath the bonnet eged by the shuttle pannle. Might as well if its getting spraded
  14. Over fueling prehaps. A senser could have gone down. You sure you haven't got a fuel leak?? Tank, Fuel lines??
  15. It sounds like its going to leak out again. Its a torgue converter in a auto. I would start looking for a new box if I where you. It could be the main seal which you can replace with out too much hassle but it sounds like you've losted too much fuild for that. With my VR manual the diff came though the casing so im guessin thats whats happend to yours. Mine still drove sound just wouldn't hold oil anymore. How many miles has yours done???
  16. DONT take the sump off you mad heads!!! Total mission. Remove the top bolt of the engine mount, O/S/R! The left rear one as your looking at the engine. Then when you got the bolt almost all the way out so its praticy hitting the sump jack the engine up just enuff that you can take your bolt out at an angle. Should only have to lift an 1" or so!! That how I do it anyway

  18. Your just been nasty now. Relating me to a saxo owner!!!!!!!!!!. Anyway im going to change your mind about the rear end once ive posted some pictures lol. Im probaly loosin the fogs now!! Are the impro Mk4 lights better for providing light than the standard vr6 items??
  19. Yep im surtanly on a mission lol. Im defanly smoothing the line, recess and indicators but probably just get the fogs a realy dark tint, (so will prety much look like pic left)!! The boot wont open so will be far from usable. But theres know seats in the back anyway so things can be put in there from the front doors. Which bit dont you like about the boot??? The smoothin into the body of the removal of the number plate? Like your engine btw!! Where have your HT leads gone??
  20. Yep im weldin it in lol. Im a mad one!!!!!!. Never seen it done before and I think it should look good plus its not a car I wanna be putting stuff in the boot. Once ive done it theres know going back *-) . I know what your saying about the number plate :@ I like both!!!!. Im leaving the tecktured bit unsmoohed to the rest of the bumper thats my idea of braking up the back end. Il find out if i like it once its finished!! if i dont then gutted!! Cheers for the input
  21. It takes the piss, It fucks your car up, and tbf it can be very dangerous, possibly causing accedents, Im shocked to hear you can claim on it tho. I will be keeping that in mind. Fully unlucky mate
  22. Im intrested in finding out more about this camber tool from VW. Does this mean camber can be set without having to use a 4 wheel aliner. And would it work at what ever ride hight you set it at? I also have hurd about a VW tool which sets your castor buy posioning your ball joint in the right place, Is such tool real????
  23. Im realy into my slammed, euro style, smoothed, simple dubs and im in the process of prepin my car for a respray. I need help makin up my mind on a few things and was hoppin people could give me there apinon Do you think I should keep my fog lights in the front bumper, and just remove indicators. They are tinted (see pic left) I do enjoy the extra light in the lanes!! Or fully smooth the bumper??? and Im unsure where i should keep my vr side skirts or not?????? This it what the rest of the cars going to be lookin like so you can gauge it Its fully striped out in the back. Im welding my boot
