  3. Sounds good, So if your getting 370bhp at 4000 rpm what are you getting running 25psi @ 7000 rpm, Must be somthink silly like 650bhp if not more I like the sound of that. It does drink the fuel but who cares about that when you got 600bhp lol Have you any idea of 0-60 times or 1/4 mile times
  4. Yer £190 seems alot of money for a 6mm aly plate. I wouldn't even think about buying it. I rather fuck about fabricating one but saying that if i could afford one with out thinking about the money then I would and save the effort
  5. Yeah not a good idea atall. Can warp head or crack your block, Best to just spend some time waiting for it to get cool of try and put some warm water in it, 1/2 hour of sitting on your ass will save you an new engine
  6. Every tursday night at Mc donnals in tanworth off the A5, I normaly go up but my cars off the road for some manjor work! I just pop along but theres normaly about 4 MK3s few Mk2s few mk1 caddys, Mk4, Well Loads of dubs and lots of street racing, Good fun
  7. Yer as ciaran saids your slave or master cyclinder are probaly leaking and letting in air. Also it could be the pipe work going from master to slave. The only problem is finding out with one is at fault. Look for fuild leaks. Good thing about the VR compared to other cars is that you dont have to remove the gearbox to change the slave cylinder. Simply bolts out in 10mins. If you cant see any leaks then change the cheepest thing first.

  10. Couldn't you have just fabricated one your self out of some 3mm mild steel. Looks like its only one bend, no need for the holes and writing
  11. Ummm I wanted to get rid compleaty but I dont want to change the rad! I thought you might just be able remove it and compleaty buy pass it. Pos add a pressure cap to a metal pipe insurted inbetween a coolant pipe. Might paint the tank black so it doesn't show up as blantent !
  12. Well it would be a loan joby tbh. With alot of people getting new cars on finance I thought I might aswell get a loan and slap a big turbo on my VR. Yep im going to do all the work myself! Ive been thinking and im probaly going to go for a charger now. And try and get a reliable 270ish bhp. Reason im going for a charger is theres less work, Alot cheeper, Far less storys of them braking, And I love my dub to bits but I want a silly rapid car, At the end of the day my MK3 is about 1300ish kg, So it will need alot of bhp to make it fully rapid Im going to keep my VR as a nice clean mint loo
  13. Hi, Its the big question again, Turbo or Supercharger, But the question im asking is which is the most reliable. Basicly I want eather a turbo or rotex supercharger running at around 400bhp, but I want it to be reliable as possible, I keep hearing about VRTs breaking alot and that they are unsutable as daily drivers but knowone seems to go too deep into what brakes. The only thing menstioned is 3rd gear but im sure a r32 gearbox takes 600bhp and fits on a VR6 engine in a mk3 engine bay???? Which would sort that out turning a VRT into a reliable a daily driver.   15. Is there anyway to remove the header tank without risking reliably, Ive seen it done before but i dont know if they still use the car daily for lond distances. Any details on how to do this or parts that need to be purchashed would be helpfull. Cheers people
  16. what keeps breaking on them I want but want reliablity aswell. If its only 3rd gear carnt you put an R32 box on it. Ive hurd there good for 600bhp?
  17. True true, I just wanted a charge cooler because I hurd they did a better job, quiker responce and thought it would involve less work

  19. Thanks for all the help, Hi Lizard Racing what car could I get a 4 outlet master cylinder sutable for my vr servo and could you explane what circa means? And is there anyway of keeping the ABS and adding a switch somwhere? Cheers Tom

Realy need some help removing the ABS on my car for a smoothed engine bay and the fact I dislike the long stopping disstance (gets me into troble more than helping me ) Does any know if I compleaty removing the the ABS including the pump and sensers will it affect the way the engine runs as it uses the same ECU as the engine ? And would it be possible to just replumb the master cyclinder thats already in the car. The one that used to work with the ABS. Or would I need the master cyclinder from a golf fitted without ABS ? Thanks for any advise given
  21. Does anyone know if you can remove the charcoal filter, Its the black filter about 8" long of the O/S which is on the fuel return, Smoothing engine bay so wanna get rid of it. Will the car still perform as normal??? Thank alot
