  1. HAd simialir in another car turned out to be a trpped wire that earthed to the body work in certain conditions, took a lot of trial and error to locate.
  2. when mine got ht a couple of weeks ago i was told if wrote off i would get a courtesy car for 1 week only. luckily it got fixed. I realise you have recipts but with out agreed value they are wothless as you could hve an old banogr with £3000 wheels its still market value of car they base it on, start trawling autotrader for similair cars to show them the value of.
  3. I checked for fault codes today with VAG.com and got the 0533 idele speed regulator 14-00 adaptaation limit(add)exceeded. Ive read on here to try cleaning the throttle body etc. With the engine running i can watch the idle , fuel etc but teh lamda boxes show no readings, does this mean its fubared is there another way to test it? thanks in advance
  4. My in laws neighbour kindly reversed into the side of my car last night. she hit between the drivers door and front wing, wing is totalled door is dented and scratched. Waiting for insurance company to get back to me, bummer!

  8. I had spluttering problem after i changed my plugs. turned out to be leads replaced them with new set and runs perfectly. When it was spluttering i stopped left the engine runing and looked under the bonnet in the dark revved it by and and numer 6 cylinder was having its own sparkler show, it ran fine before plug change so presume the old leads gave up the ghost when being pulled around as removed and refitted the lead several times to check it was in corectly.
  9. press clip remove plug, now there will be a u shaped clip runiing through the plastic mounting holding the sensor in slide this out to remove the sensor.
  10. Got minr from local motor factor place £80, uplug wire from top, remove two hoses. The pump is held on by 2 rubber bushes.
  11. Get a full wheel alignment done at a speacialist or a wheel place.
  12. If you think a car is designed for 12v and a mig welder is sticking in 240 odd volts you do risk frying the electronics.
  13. The noise after the car is turned off sounds like the auxilary water pump located (as you look at the engine) on the back right hand corner. You should see the water pipes running to it with a plug in the top.
