Well I thought I'd treat myself to a drive into the office today as it was one of those brisk sunny mornings you get this time of year. So cleaned off the water from the windows and set off with the drivers side window open enough so I can still fell the heat of the car but the cool of the outside with the sound ringging all around! Come to the first time I have to slow down from about 40-50mph and yep there is a surprise. A stream of water running in from the quater light area off the roof from my open window right onto my arm and leg. That water was cold I tell you. You forget about these

"Usually" if there are other gears in the same throw motion having the same/similar issue then it's a link. If it one specific gear ----- then ether run away scared or get it looked at b4 you buy so you know what it is! I say Usually because if it is an adjustment or cable/linkage issue then it tends to effect more than one gear. However as gearboxes are a law unto themselves they can effect just one gear. They're nice like that Some prudent questions and a garage report if it is a good price will put your mind at rest. If he refuses there's your answer Hope it helps a litlle

Ok so I am gonna be a little different. Of course everyone wants the veron/Astons' etc.... So here's a couple of ones not so obvious [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1190832828_4100_FT197146_lancia_stratos1.jpg][/lightbox] (I didn't have a short wheelbase Audi Quatto picture ) There are lots more and I would have a very small house and a very big garage. Think Italian job (original).. All of those cars would be good also.....

Wot he said...... It cost me £25 extra for the charger on my Insurance (with points/pants postcode etc...) Brakes on the 288 and fast road pads are fine. If you're mad as a fish then upgrade further. The best thing in the world is getting the "WTF have you got in there mate" look.. LOL I know I have said this before but have a read in the members tuning sections and read the guides and discussions on the various options etc, as there are a couple of things to think about! You have a couple of options really. Does it happen when you rev or when under driving load only??? Does the water level in the expansion tank alter as you rev it??? What I am trying to understand is if you have a blockage (maybe air) somewhere which could be working its way out. Or if you have a pinprick somewhere on a hose or gasket which causes the leak under pressure. Usually if it is things like the water pump it is very obvious as a leak under the car. Don't forgeet to look at the connections into the heater as well as they flow through that way also. The very solid pipes does hint a

As long as you have the std injectors in the car will fuel and run fine (may be a little rich). The car will run with red tops in but will overfuel so better to stay std and swap out at time of map. Only a 5 min job and you have to change the regulator as well so.. thats the best way. Just make sure you let the guy who is mapping know if he has to allow and hour before hand! You can try and run it in on the rollers but the best way is to put at least 500miles on it. It actually starts to bed in properly at about a 1000miles....Most want it to run for an hour then you can drive. Keep belo
