  1. Well i had it RRded today and it made 248bhp at the fly.the R32 is so moch better than the mk3, you can throw around corners and it grips, i love it, i wish i done this years ago, Craggsy, either the mk3 or the R 32will be on the stand at E38
  2. Try removing the throttle body and cleaning it with some carb cleaner, it will prob be fairly oily, also check the intake pipes and breathers for any leaks
  3. Not a fan of the mark5 R32, was an impulse buy on a 5 door MK4.
  4. Well seeing as i have put the mark 3 up for sale, i put a deposit down and collect a deep blue pearl R32 tommorow evening, my birthday is on sat so id say its the best present i could get.
  5. Like the rest, Milltek all the way, i replaced my magnex with a milltek as the fit on the magnex was awful, didnt sit right ever
  6. No it wont, not a hope in hell, Lots more to this than dropping in an engine, i have gone to fair extremes with bits of mine, this conversion however pushed the boundaries that bit too far. Storm developments have done a mk2 as have JBS
  7. Money, lots of it!!!!! I looked at doing this to mine, depends on how you approach it, standalone or original ECU, Standalone is probably easier, plug and play, if not you will need the engine loom, ecu, throttle pedal, custom down pipe, and thats just the beginning Too much hassle for me so i bought an R32 instead
  8. Looks a nice one, but youll be lucky to get the splitter, they are UBER rare now a days, due to them deing obsolete and lots have been smashed up on speed bumps.
  9. I would hate to get on the wrong side of you Claire, but im glad that its in the past and hope to catch up for a good few beers at e38
  10. Gutted for you mate, never realised this was your situation. I got your e mail addy and i will fire off pics tomorrow. Hope that you get everything sorted
  11. Both cars pictured look very nice, but personally id remove the mk4 GOLF VR6 badge, looks out of place
  12. Put me down for both days, and if its cool to leave my car with someone on the friday and sat night as we are staying in a hotel!! If i do sell my car, i have something else lined up that will still fit in nicely
  13. Sorry to hear this Claire, was nice meeting yo in person at UD when you were with Rich, although you were doing a fine job of being slightly scary. :-d Hope to bump into you at E38,
  14. Worcester for the recaros, wheels are fine dude, just need to sell up now.
  15. Nice car mate but lose the lexus lights, they spoil a nice car
  16. Im a non "highline" too and TBH i dont see what the fuss was about, mine has a far nicer spec than a highline, climate and black leather recaros, it has all the highline trim too, and IMO is in the best colour a vr comes in!!
  17. Thnk you, needs to go asap tho, anyway, the flashing on the control panel lasts for 15 secs, and as mike says it will in no way indicate what the fault is, just that there is a fault!! The climate control system will show a fault such as the system being empty of gas, short in the outside temp sensor, the list goes on, and without vag com, or any other vw diagnosis equipment you will literally be looking for a needle in a haystack.
  18. You could throw in the towel and buy mine instead Its worth it, i had a similar experience in june when things went wrong when i charged mine, its all ixed tho and well worth the effort
  19. I think your looking too much into this here, firstly you need to run vag com diagnosis, then take it from there, the climate works on exactly the same principles as regular air con, except that it keeps the cabin at regular temperature, The only variation to this is the early cars 94/95 did not have an "econ" button whichmeant the air con ran constantly whereas the later cars had the "econ" button and you were able to run with the air con pump dis engaged All the climate does is use motors instead of cables on the heater box and has sensors inside the cabin that monitors the cabin temperatur
  20. TBH i will be looking to buy something new when ive settled in my flat, i have been looking at R32s, but up here (Aberdeen) they are like arseholes, they are everywhere. And thats before they get any cheaper than they already are, but id be wary of 11k R32s, seen one up here for 15.5k, and it was a dog, burst carpets, smokers car, stone chip central and big(ish) miles. That and the fact that a well sorted 150TDI anniversary MK4 is a far cheaper and less common alterniative, after some remapping and lowering thats what id rather have
  21. Its Beaver leather thats in there, rather nice it is too!!! When i bought mine i wanted a silver car with climate, recaros or leather, much nicer and far harder to find than a run of the mill highline IMO
  22. Far too short!!! Need at least 1600 For the non air con set up
